That damn boy can't keep his clothes on!
Hi! I've new here and have really only been introduced FMA for about a week or two, but I've already gone through the marathon of watching all 44 currently subtitled episodes. ^^ I'm just curious as to if anyone else has noticed how freaking often that Full Metal Chibi gets his trademark clothes torn! Has anyone actually counted (or is willing to rewatch all the episodes to count) exactly how many times poor Ed has his sleeve/shirt/cloak/pants ripped (just in the anime, not counting the manga...nor any bizarre fanfics where Mustang just can't contain himself any longer ^^;;; )? Oh, and while you're at it, count how many times he rips his right glove too, just because he's too lazy to take it off before turning his automail into a blade. I suppose this counts as a contest, but I really don't know the answer to these questions myself! Have fun counting! ;)

P.S. I forgot to post earlier that I've taken 3 of the icons teruteruboozu posted earlier as my new lj icons because they're awesome. ^^

Well I can't count the number of times he's ripped his clothes but he has the luxary of alchemizing them back to normal. :)

I'm willing to rewatch! And--and what do you MEAN excuse? *cough*

I wonder where he gets his new clothes. Transmutes? Tailored? The tailor would be glad Ed doesn't grow so he doesn't need to remeasure X3

lol He probably did both, but maybe the tailoring got too expensive or too hard to find...

Spoilerrific. :P
Heh, I guess we're all guilty of finding little excuses to rewatch them a trillion times. :x Why, after I found out about *SPOILER* Pride, I went back and rewatched all the scenes he was in before (including anything that might've been Palmtree Head pretending to be him). And then after finding out about *SPOILER* Hohenheim I went back and rewatched all the scenes in which the Sins refer to *SPOILER* Dante where I thought they were actually talking about Hoheny. :P So, um, yeah.

Depends how much the state's willing to cough up for their alchemists' fashion needs. ^^; I originally thought he'd just transmute them back, but sometimes pieces do actually fall off in inconvenient places, which would mean that if he tried to transmute it back, he'd either a) need to go back and pick up every single piece that fell off, b) need to find replacement red/black cloth, or c) transmute it several inches shorter than it was before...which is a very funny image actually. ^^;; And I bet he'd think he actually outgrew his clothes instead.

Re: Spoilerrific. :P
Aha, so THAT'S why he doesn't think he's short! Poor guy, mislead this whole time...
