It's cheap 'cause you only get one character at random. ><
I brought one at Otakon and was stuck with an Armstrong. >>;

They were selling at Otakon for $5. Best thing to do is buy a whole box ($50) and trade with people for the figures you're missing.

The only problem with that is that there are silver versions of each character. o.o;
So, it'd be 100 bucks. x.x;

Don't forget Scar, the chase figure. I found this auction with all 14 figures for less than $9 a figure, and you get all of them. Even the boxes won't have all the different characters. I think Alphonse is the rarest after Scar.

Do you happen to remember which dealer that was? I bought a whole box of the figures and it was considerably more expensive than $50, so if I can get it for cheaper, that'd be great.

Image Anime (www.imageanime.com) had them for $5, but that was a convention price. If you can wait, you may be able to get a similar deal at another convention.

There's always Hobbylink Japan, although you tend to get better prices if you order early.

At Otakon, the best dealer that I found for FMA merchandise was Anime Sekai (their website isn't great, but the dealer said she'll answer any email inquiries).

what is the link to Anime Sekai website?

Uwajimaya [Huge Japanese/Asian grocery store in Seattle]
I love those box candy figure things... I almost have the entire set of Naruto figures except for the 2nd Naruto, and I have most of the One Piece crew except for Sanji... Those things are way addictive. Some of them say what characters are inside, but most are random [my sister bought like 5 boxes containing Eneru inside]. I haven't seen FMA ones yet... XD

Me bought mine at Anime Expo by picking it randomly. And I got... a colorful Ed. *__* But my brother wanted Armstrong. XD So he bought one with a higher price. ._.;
