Re: hohenheim
he looks nicer....not like a scary 'melting people and then swallowing whatever gets distilled out' sort of person.

But I suppose appearances can be decieving...>->

Re: hohenheim
It's not said outloud, but it's blatantly obvious. When you compare the guy in chapter 31 and Hohenheim in chapter 20, the similarity is astounding.

Re: hohenheim
He looks like a good guy! o_O;...*looks at manga* In the manga he's a shadowy evil-looking dude. *points to Chapter 30(?). the dude in the chair is him*

Unless, he's super-nice for 20mins and then when everyone has thier backs turned, his eyes narrow evil-style and he's like "Muwahaha...everything is working to plan...[insert evil cackle here]". <~~can't you tell? I'm in denial here. =D

Re: hohenheim
I don't think he is a bad guy. I mean...not to everyone, because...well..Trisha fell in love with him, right? If he was a terrible one all the time, she never would marry him.

I think he is..maybe...a..sorry, I forgot the words in English :-(

I figured that the 1h special was to make up for the canceled episode a few weeks back?

Hmm. I just had a look at the other ep 43 pictures.

*squints* It seems as if Winry and Sheska are being held by the military. o_o; My 2 cents: Sheska and Winry were again poking into things they shouldn't have and were spotted. >>;

Well... the Elrich-dad must have a really good excuse for beeing away for so long. At least, in manga, he´s a bubble-thing and homunculus creator and that must take a lot of his time :P

Or, maybe this Elrich in anime is Envy, in a mission for his "father" and later, we will see that now the anime and manga are crossing paths again

But he really seens a nice guy, althoug he isn´t so good looking :P

In the brazilian community a posted a comment about guessing that Sloth is Elrich-dad creation, when he discovered that his wife was dead.

But if he really is a good guy in anime, who is homuculus "father" , that Envy and the others talk about?

I really wonder what the Elrichs will do and say when they finally meet their father again. And what Elrich-dad will act when he find out what his absence provoked to his family

Sloth was created by Edward and Alphonse when they tried to revive thier mother, not by thier father. =)

I'm curious myself to how they'll react. Ed's acted angrily at the mention of "Our dad" or "Hohenheim" (in the manga) making it sound like he would rather jump Everest than go near his dad. Al on the other hand has no memory of thier dad and he really has a sort of 'inner desire' to meet thier father. We'll see how it all plays out this weekend ;).

I Know that she was born by their sin, but do you ever stop and think how theirs bodies are maded? I mean, okay, someone tried to do human transmuted and stuff, but in that case, why Wrath isn´t a baby? How he can be a 10-year-look?

It wouldn´t be more right if their are just monster-things, like the ones they were just after they were transmuteded?

Someone must be modelling theirs bodies and I think this person is the Elrich-dad, at least in the manga

And I really don´t know how there are only 7 sins, after all, in the story of FMA a lot of people know how to make alchemy and altough they know is a sin, a lot of them should be tempted in try human transmutation for recover theirs loved-ones. Only if when someone commits a tabu, the new homunculus takes the place of the old one according with the circunstances that they´re maded.

The reason why he wasn't a baby was explained indirectly in episode 32-33 somewhere (maybe earlier?). Wrath or rather "it" grew up behind the door and aged. A theory I have is that he aged in order to grow accustomed the body parts he gained which were that of a 10yr old boy (I think that's roughly how old Ed was...),

BTW, Izumi's baby was I think born prematurely and/or was deformed (overly large head, small body) and then died.

The whole thing that "Human Transmutation is bad don't do it" is drilled into many alchemists' minds where they just accept death as a part of life (Ed and Al learned this after thier month-long stay on Yok Island in Kauroy Lake in Dublith but did HT anyways despite the fact that they figured out and even concluded that death is a natural part of the life cycle). Its like how we know that if we vandalise something we'll be in big trouble for it and therefore most don't do it anyways (though there will always be a certain few who want to).

There are just some Alchemists out there who didn't accept death as a part of the life cycle or who ignored it.

I like your theory though about Hohenheim Elric having perhaps modeled the bodies. We'll see what else we can learn when episode 43 airs. *nods*

In ep 41, Wrath said that he was result of a miscarriage. That explains why he was so little... poor thing ;_;

Do you read a manga chapter called THE BLIND ALCHEMIST?
Very sad story about human transmutation

I have this crazy ideas all the time :D
Sometimes I even get something right ^^'

mica_chanmica_chan on July 31st, 2004 07:56 am (UTC)
I ask myself who was the homunculus created in THE BLIND ALCHEMIST...

And I was thinking about the homunculii again and...well, maybe just Hohenheim homunculii recieve Sins names? (it doesn't make any sense, I know)
chrononuriko on August 1st, 2004 02:37 pm (UTC)
The Blind Alchemist is a manga only story that the anime hasn't (and I doubt will) go into.

And only in the anime are the homunculi created through failed human transmutations. In the manga homunculi are created in a much different way, so the Blind Alchemist's human transmutation attempt wouldn't create a homunculus (Nor would the Elric bros attempting to revive their mother, Izumi attempting to revive her child, etc etc...)
hork13bajir5 on August 1st, 2004 02:40 pm (UTC)
Yes'm. In the manga, their "Father" *cough*Hohenheim*cough* created the Homunculus. He even put part of his soul into Greed. ... Then he got it back by drinking him. o.O;;

(This wasn't directed to you, Chrononuriko, 'cause I'm nearly 100% sure you know.)
mica_chanmica_chan on August 1st, 2004 04:44 pm (UTC)
O.O
I never thought that in manga homunculii weren't created as in anime. But now that you said it...even though I read the manda (I just haven't read yet chapters 22 to 25) I really don't remember they talking about how a homunculus is created. (they said it in the chapters I lost?)
