I used to have a book that had all those images of dinosaurs used... that's pretty cool.

I remember pausing every few frames in that scene so I could take in all the images.. Thansk for capturing them, you've made them a lot more accessable and enjoyable!

Is it my imagination, or did I see their father in there a couple times? Ooo...

There's way to many pictures of WWII for comfort... They've got a picture of the mushroom cloud over Nagasaki, one of the Jews being moved to the concentration/death camps, a couple of destroyed remains of Germany, Pearl Harbor (which ship is that? Maybe the USS Arizona?)...

You even got New York Ground Zero in there too. (the after-the-cleanup-shot.)

I think they showed the WWII shots because that even is close to the story's timeline but that's just my random guess even if FMA takes place in a multi-euro-asian country/continent/whathaveyou//that looks nothing like the modern-day world. (even if Britain is mentioned on a newspaper in the series....)<~~mind the last parts >>;

You mean the submarine shot? I've seen that picture in a book and they named the ship too.(or maybe when my dad was watching the History Channel o_o) Sadly, I don't remember if the name was mentioned. Sorry. ^^;

New York Ground Zero, yes. That was one of the pictures that sort of jumped out at me when I first watched the episode and "The Truth" flashed by.

I think, essentially, FMA is our world downsized and slightly altered for the purposes of the creator, so having all of these pictures of WWII makes perfect sense as you pointed out. Did you notice one of the guys in a shot shown here has an almost freakishly similar uniform to that of the military featured in FMA?

The submarine shot? The shot I was referring to was the one of the ship on fire, tilting to the side into the water. I'm pretty sure that's the USS Arizona, as it would make the most sense to show it as it was the ship that lost the most men in Pearl Harbor when it sunk.

Thanks for taking those reeeally creepy screencaps. I would've never caught that cool sports car with the FMA license plate otherwise. ;) And he sees Psiren, she wasn't filler after all!! ^^b

Y'know, I always wondered what anime characters think when they see the real world . . . is it animation to them? Hmm . . .
