Fanfic and Drawings
Hello all!
I'm a very recent follower of FMA and was pointed here by a friend to "advertise" a short story I wrote.

Title: Sacrifice
Rating: G
Warnings: Contains spoilers for episode 5 of Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood.
Summary: Ed wonders about the consequences of his actions during his first encounter with Scar.

Link to my LJ

The story is towards the bottom. The link itself also takes you to some pictures I drew. I'm fairly new to drawing and I struggle a lot with proportions and shapes. I have a lot to learn yet.

No Turning Back

Not Impressed

Awaiting Death

Though I've seen them before, I still like these very much. Thank you for posting them here! (and it's nice to have someone I know here too!)

Awww, that's so sweet. Thanks so much - for the comment and for linking me here. It's good to have a place to indulge in my latest fandom - and to know there is at least one person I know here makes it easier not to feel too apprehensive about posting stuff.

There will be more than one, if I'm any judge. Especially as you get better with your tablet. You watch. ;)

I have a lot to learn yet.

And yet these are still better than anything I could do! ^_^ I think Awaiting Death is the best of these three. :)

Thanks a lot. I am especially fond of Awaiting Death - mainly because I have a soft spot for angst and really liked that scene :p
As of yet I still depend on screencaps. Without them everything would just look wobbly and uncoordinated. I hope to get beyond that at one point and come up with pictures of my own rather than "copying" my favourites.

:) There's nothing wrong with using screencaps. Everybody's gotta start somewhere so you might as well start with something good! ^_^ I noticed that "wobbly and uncoordinated" thing about the first pic, specifically Ed's legs. Forgive me for saying so but the poor dear looks as wobbly as a newborn foal. :) Still, like I said, it's better than anything I could ever hope to do! :D The middle pic would make a great icon if only there was some way to keep that expression recognizable when you shrink it down.

Forgive me for saying so but the poor dear looks as wobbly as a newborn foal.

*LOL* That would be because his legs are too short :p I had this nagging feeling that something was not quite right the whole time I was drawing. It only became clear once it was coloured in that his legs would have needed to be a couple of cms longer :p

Hm, if you focus just on the face there might be a good chance to turn it into an icon and not lose the expression :)
