What's the difference between the two? Their boxes look different. The first one is on ebay for about $200, the second one is on for about $25. O-o;;

And who wears this necklace?

There's also a shop selling the one at 25$ somewhere. I have no idea what's the difference, aside from the price. I got one off ebay at 25$, and I say it was very much worth it. It's coated in silver and all shiny. So much love for my Flamel. <3

O.o You're right! They do look different. How 'come I never noticed... >.>;;

But uh.. I got mine off ebay for $24, and it's great. It looks like the one in the second link. I wear it just about everywhere I go. ^__^

I got the second one for about $25 on some random shop, and it's so lovely. :D *is wearing it right now* :3

I got the second one, too. XD;;
It's totally worth it. X3

Got one myself at AX for $25, so the second one is the claim for me. Looks like they've got different clasps and thong style. *points* One's got a thicker leather thing than the other.

The fine detail on the more expensive one is also better, although it's hard to see with such a small image. Look at the very top of the cross. The cheap one is flat, while the other is three dimensional.

Looks like a bootleg one, but the box looks too good to be one o_O;

The first one might just be an attempt to gouge you. ;/ Or it might be real silver. Yeah, right, but... xD

I wear mine daily. <3 I get asked about it a lot, too. And when I say, "it's an alchemy symbol" they look at me funny.

And when I say, "it's a religious symbol" they still look at me funny.

But all the same, much FMA pride. :3

And not to mention the cord on the expensive one is braided leather while the other is just a cloth/satin cord.

And yeah I went to the Squeenix store too and saw the spiffer ones, thats why I was so pleased to see the Official Knockoff at animebooks.com

True, at the Animate store I went to in Japan they had those, and the price range was around 110$ for em. 200 on ebay...someone is gonna get ripped...

I got the bootleg and I'm very happy with it. To most people they look almost exactly the same. The detail isn't all that much different that it is worth spending an extra 180 dollars for the real silver one.

I get funny looks too when I wear mine.

Yet another person with the second flamel necklace. Thank god for EBay. XD
Good to know about Squeenix putting out different quality jewelry. I had just assumed and bought it anyway.

I've been wondering how people buy stuff online... credit cards? T___T Man... I don't have one... must get somebody who has one to help me out.

Some people do take money orders and such. Though some don't because they can be forged or they don't want to wait for it to come in the mail and then have to cash it. *shrug* I used to do that when I was still in high school, before I got a check card.

Also, you can use PayPal, if you put money into your account there. You can either use a credit card through PayPal (which is what I do) or transfer money from a bank account into your PayPal account, then send it to the person you're buying from (if they have a PayPal account). Lots of eBay sellers use it.
