sorry about this. - if you want me to delete it i will

i know pratically everyone here downloads anime using bittorent or one of the other many programs available now.

Ah, that. It depends what program you're using to play your video files usually. This guide will tell you all you need; it goes through how to play those files step by step ^^

If you're not using Windows Media Player 9, then you should try downloading Media Player Classic, Zoom Player, BS Player, or TCMP =D All of those support .ogm.

You should download the Defiler pack, that's the easiest way. Then you can play it in Windows Media or BSplayer if you happen to have it. (Haven't tested it on anything else.) Search for it on Google, it won't be hard to find.

VLC [Video Lan Client] also will play .ogm files well. Do a google search for it. VLC is nice because you don't have to download codec packs.

If all else fails, make sure to have the Ogg Vorbis audio codec installed. VLC is the way to go, however, and if that doesn't work...

You could also download Media Player Classic, it plays .mkv and .ogm files.

I thought I'd post this in case any Mac users are wondering how to play .orm files. Download a copy of MPlayer 2.0 and you should be all set. It worked for me, anyway.

Really, essentially every media player I know of (Minus DivX player?) will play .ogm files as long as you have all the required codecs and such installed.

And those things that you need are shown here, as well as plenty other information on how to use .ogm files: http://ld-anime.faireal.net/guide/ogm-en
