A letter to the fandom...

Dear FMA fandom,

Even though all our hearts are broken now that the manga has ended, I don't want to see this fandom tear itself apart because of it. Writers? Write! Artists? Draw! Whatever your chosen format may be, yaoi or het, just please go do it! The manga may have ended but the fandom must go on! :) As Edward said, "M
ove forward. You’ve got a strong pair of legs; you should get up and use them."

Sincerely,
amethyst_koneko =^.^=

Thanks ! (^-^)
I agree. It's up to us to let the flame continue to burn. =)

And for the rest, I think everyone has the right to have their own tastes. I'm not the kind to judge anyone for it. =)
In fact, I didn't know there is a battle between yaoi & het fans. Anyway, it seems to be over. So, as you said let's move on in a friendly atmosphere. (^-^)
*well, i guess it's easy for me to say that, since I just arrived ^^"*
After all, for me a community exists for sharing common interests in a good mood. =)

I didn't know there is a battle between yaoi & het fans.

*is amused* Oh yes, my friend, there is and it can get down right nasty if ever the two meet! :) I know from personal experience that if a strongly opinionated yaoi fan meets a strongly opinionated het fan, the results will get you kicked out of whatever comm you meet in! ^_^ That's why there are two sets of comms - to prevent such things from happening. The battle of opinions over the manga may have subsided but the, how to say it, "disagreement" between het and yaoi will never be resolved, ever! :)

Here's to that friendly atmosphere you mentioned - in the general comm anyway! :D

Ok. =)
Well, I learned something. Maybe I'm too open-minded to understand why people can fight against each other for opinions or tastes. I mean, everyone loves different things. And, even if you don't like the same things, well... What's the problem? Live with it or ignore it. You don't have to put it into a war.
But, a similar situation took place on a forum I know. And, the admin had to take measures and lock Yaoi sections. That was a war between Yaoi & Anti-Yaoi. It's fine now, because only yaoi fans can access to this topics.

I'm kinda neutral. I read some yaoi doujinshis or fanfics, because I'm curious. =P And, I found some well drawn with good stories. And, because I'm still curious, I always take a look at what fans draw or write especially when there is a character I like. (^.^)
So, as long as the story is good. I don't really care what genre it is.

It's always the same situation when extreme opposed opinions come to meet. Then, the fight will never end.

But, don't worry, I'm confident that this comm' has a friendly flame in its heart. =)
You're a good example. =) And, once more Thanks for warm welcome. =)
