ALLLLL!!!!!! at first i actually thought he died after they showed him protecting Mei because the blood seal looked cracked already.

Yay Royai! i'll join up with all the Royai fans that'll be busting down Arakawa's door if they don't get together next chapter... maybe that's why she has never shown what she looks like...

and that was awesome, let that be a lesson to all that you NEVER tick off Edward Elric. it's like all those barely held back rage moments from all the short jokes have exploaded all at once XD

and am i the only one that noticed that it looks like Scar just died?

oh, and i'll just jump on the bandwagon of Hoho sacrificing himself to bring back Al... it looks like Hoho is about to die anyway.

The parts where Riza is helping Roy see... so sweet! ♥

And Al, just... *cries heart out*

I HAD some theories, but I never thought THIS would happen. (That's one more reason to love Arakawa-sensei, but STILL)

Thank you!! Ahhh, the perfect way to unwind from an exam (even if it was open book, lol).

Though there's only one chapter left until FMA ends!!!!!

We're getting close to the end... ;_;

On one hand, I am happy that things will finally be resolved and that loose ends will be tied up, but on the other hand, FMA is ending so soon - noooo!

- I like how Roy and Riza are working together in this chapter. Riza is watching his back and protecting him, as always, but I thought it was both awesome and lovely how Riza is now helping him as his eyes - this sure gives a lot of meaning to her nickname in Ishbal, "The Hawk's Eye." I hope that Roy and Riza will acknowledge their feelings for each other in the last chapter!

- Heh, Greedling and Olivier bickering was hilarious.

- I like how Olivier taunted Bradley in death, saying about how Buccaneer was strong.

- Someone get treatment for Scar! I hope he doesn't die. I love the character development he underwent.

- Al sacrificing himself so that Ed could defeat Father was sweet. It definitely was in Al's character to do something like that, but I hope for a good ending for the Elric brothers. I don't want either of them to die, because that would just render everything they worked hard for to nothing!

= As a few people have said, it looks like Hohenheim might sacrifice himself to get Al back, but I would be saddened if he died so soon. Yes, he wants to be mortal and to die with Trisha. That's nice of him, but I wish that he could spend at least some more time with the sons he never really got to know. They haven't really had any father-son moments outside of discussing Father's plans and battling. Ah, too bad - it looks like that's the way things are going to be, since one of the themes in FMA seems to be how the adults are paving the way for the young ones. :(

- Seeing many characters rooting for Edward warmed my heart.

- D'aww, all Greedling wanted was friends! So his "greed" is a good kind of greed after all. Maybe this might sound cheesy to some, but I actually liked this explanation. I learned in philosophy class that humans by nature are social beings. And one of the themes in FMA is the human condition, how humans, despite their mortality, have a more fulfilling existence than any immortal, perfect being because, knowing that they are mortal, humans strive to make their lives meaningful. So I just thought that it was sweet and fitting that Greed wanted to have friends, and in saying this, Greed was humanized. It also kind of draws back to how Greed told Ed that hope and avarice were two sides of the same coin.

So yeah, sorry for this long comment. Anyway, I loved Chapter 107! Can't wait for 108 but at the same time, I'm a bit sad about the upcoming ending!

It's interesting you mention that about Riza's nickname - now obviously no one has ever called Mustang a hawk but I happened to look up the symbolism for the hawk and it's kind of Mustang-like:

HAWK - is the messenger. It is also about visionary power and guardianship, the hawk is very protective of the young in its nest. It teaches us about providing for family and self. Hawk teaches us to be observant and to pay attention to what we may overlook. This could mean a talent we don't use, a blessing for which we haven't expressed gratitude, or a message from Spirit. The hawk has keen eyesight, it is about opening our eyes and seeing that which is there to guide us.

I mean about the protectivness(and we know Roy is protective and it's kind of key to his whole idea - about people protecting those below them) and visionary-ness, and when Roy lost his eyesight his grand vision for his country was mentioned. And the whole "Hawk's Eye" thing while a play on her name, could also be said to sort of signify her role in being that which symbolises Roy's knowledge that he(like everyone) needs to depend upon other's in order make sure he stays on the right path.(He needed her, her trust, in order to fulfill his alchemy education, he has needed his friends and subordinates to help him try and fulfill his vision for making his country a better place, he needed her and others to help him overcome his rage at Envy for Hughes' murder, and now he literally needs Riza's eyes to point his powers in the right direction).

By the way, does anyone ever post at the fullmetal-alchemist.com forums? I tried registering about 2 weeks ago and have been entirely unable to receive a validation email for the account(I can sign in, I see my username but am unable to post or use most of the board features because I received no validation email to respond to) and the only two email addresses I managed to find, in order to try and resolve the issue, come back to me saying they are undeliverable. Is there anyway to get directly in touch one of the moderators or administrators to try and figure out the problem.

No. It cannot end like the first anime. Please do not end like the first anime.

Something I noticed: Every time before, when Ed (or Al) has transmuted a spear, the opponent has broken it almost immediately. Not this time - it finally worked!

I'm not gonna lie, I screamed. And cried.

This might be stupid, but is it possible that Hohenheim might sacrifice himself AND the philosophers stone (with the souls permission, of course.) To not only save Al, but the others as well? Roys Eyes, Izumi's organs, and Eds leg? I think this might just be a dumb logic on my part, I don't know.

I kinda like how the main good guy (Ed) and the big bad (Homunculus) look almost alike, but the good guy is the one wearing black (and leather pants!), whereas the bad guy is wearing white. But maybe it's just the fact that I've always been amused by Ed's 'villainous' fashion sense.

omg this chapter.... THIS CHAPTER!!!!! i'm going to go insane waiting for the next one. i had a delayed reaction to roy being able to do clap transmutations, had my heart break at al's sacrafice, and was like "FUCK YEAH!" when Ed took over.

definitely gonna go insane waiting for the next chapter!!!!
