3 Drabbles- different pairings

Here is the second group of 3 drabbles that I did for a meme on my LJ- give me a prompt and I will choose a pairing and fandom- as usually with me, they all ended up being Fullmetal Alchemist, both Het and Yaoi pairings- rated from G to PG-13 for talk about character deaths and such.
There *ARE* spoilers, so be warned.

I would really love to get some feedback on these. What do you guys think?

For: Emma
Title: Desperation
Fandom: Fullmetal Alchemist
Characters: Mustang, some Hughes
Summary: A red light- a rebound.
Warnings: Spoilers for a certain character death, and.. um.. death.
Rating: Let's say PG-13.

A/N: I really need to turn off my iTunes. I read the request and Blue Oyster Cult's "Don't Fear the
Reaper" comes on....

Red light flashes.

He knows that that means.

A rebound.

His heart leaps in his chest.

He saw what it did to Ed.. what it did to Al.

What was he going to lose?

He had already lost an eye.

... he had already lost his love..

The tentacles reached out for him, black as pitch.

What were they coming for?

what more could they take?

He had watched his best friend put into the ground in front of him.

his secret lover...

He knew what he was doing was the worst type of desperation.

But what else could he do?

The tentacles reached for his heart.

it was already broken, let the Gate have it...

When the tentacles retreated back from whence they came they had done what Roy had always been unable to
do in life.

Maes, I'm coming....

Title: Reunion
Fandom: Fullmetal Alchemist
Characters: Ed, Alfons
Summary- Trains were an end to a means.
Warnings: AU-ish from the other side of the Gate
Rating: PG-ish

Ed yawned and stretched. Even when he had been on the other side of the Gate with his brother, he had
hated riding on trains. They were just an end to a means- a way to get where he needed to go.

And now he needed to go home.

He had someone to get home to.

He shifted his weight, trying to stop the pins and needles from settling into his muscles again.

Golden eyes looked out the window to the setting sun.

Was he watching this same sunset?

Was he wondering where his golden haired lover was?

He had to hope that he was.

But for now, it was time to get situated for the night, the last night he would spend away from Alfons-
he would make sure of that.

It was time for a reunion.

It was time to go home.

Finally.

Home.

Name: Snow
Fandom: Fullmetal Alchemist
Characters: Mustang, Hawkeye
Summary: Roy Mustang always hated the rain, but loved the snow.
Warnings: None (for once)
Rating: G

Even though Roy had hated the rain his entire life, he had always loved the snow.

He was pretty sure that it was because he had grown up in the desert, and he hadn't even seen snow until he was stationed in Central as a Lieutenant Colonel.

He loved the snow beause it wasn't' the desert.

because it wasn't Ishval.

The first time it snowed in Central, he made an excuse to Hawkeye that he had to drop off some papers and headed out the door.

without any papers in his hands.

There was a tiny part of him that just wanted to find a hidden spot behind the building and make a snow angel and throw a snowball at a tree- all the things that he couldn't do when he was a child.

but only a tiny part of him.

But he took a leisurly stroll through the parade grounds, his hands thrust into the pockets of his military wool longcoat, his smoky breath lingering in the air for a moment before rising and dissipating into the chill air.

When he came back into the office, his hair wet with melted snow, his longcoat soaked and clinging to his small form, he had the familiar mask on his face, mouth turned down into a frown.

"Did you enjoy yourself, sir?" No one else but Mustng saw the slight smirk in the corner of his mouth, the smallest hint of amusement in her almost monotone voice.

"If I hate rain, why would I enjoy snow, Lieutenant Hawkeye?"

"Yes sir."

The infamous smirk touched his face for only a moment, a heartbeat, just enough for Hawkeye to catch it before he flopped down in his chair and she pushed another stack of papers in front of his face.

He would take the snow, and his Lieutenant any day.
