You thought once was enough? YOU THOUGHT WRONG!
Deep down inside every single one of us is a fic trying to claw it's way out. And while some fics should never really see the light of day, that doesn't mean they won't see the light of day. For this, there is a community.

A community for the collective pervert in all of us.

Whoever's running it should probably turn off custom comments. :\

Custom comments?

Where when you comment to a post, you see the journal or community's lay out, often times a funky font, and such in the comment box. As opposed to this community, which gives you the standard white background when you post.

Fixed, thanks!

I don't understand how this is supposed to be different from the IHOP.
The Icon Alchemistsky_dark on August 26th, 2009 03:21 am (UTC)
Fundamentally, it's not, but it will be kept separated by pairings in different posts now. (if only I could spell)

The kinkmeme was starting to outgrow its original post -- FMA_IHOP was initially a comm for something unrelated, after all. This way they can sort the fic requests into different posts, and not have to worry about running into a comment limit (plus the name is more intuitive for people searching.)

Hmm. I dunno. It seems like this system would cause attention to be more divided amongst readers and writers. I liked the together-ness of the first.

I kinda agree :/ It also pretty much ensures that the unfilled prompts on the other one will remain unfilled, what with people split between the two, and there being many more prompts than writers anyway.
mikkeneko on August 26th, 2009 11:55 am (UTC)
It was my understanding that unfilled prompts of the original meme are going to be migrated to the new one.
Tobyt3h_toby_chan on August 26th, 2009 05:53 pm (UTC)
By whom? All of the original requesters?
The Icon Alchemistsky_dark on August 26th, 2009 06:47 pm (UTC)
There isn't a plan to move unfilled requests to the new community. However, if people wish to cross post their requests for better exposure, by all means, cross post them, or the original requester can move them. The current Kinkmeme in fma_ihop isn't going anywhere. The index will still be up,the requests will still be there. We are just starting another community with better organization, no one from the original meme is required to move their requests, they will not be deleted or disrupted in any way.

As the maintainer of the original meme, I can comment that a certain (large) quantity of the requests that came in initially were part of a flood by a single person...while at the time the decision had been to leave them, since none were against the rules, they caused many other people's requests/fics to be flooded out of sight completely.

The central index will remain the same, no fics or requests will ultimately be lost.
The Icon Alchemistsky_dark on August 26th, 2009 10:55 pm (UTC)
No to mention the trolling, that caused a lot of flooding, too
