Wow, way to make me baww episode T~T The last 15 minutes of that episode were just a tad too heart wrenching for me.
It's Risa, not Wii-sa!!: TB: Hokuto; plotting your doomame_no_genki on July 19th, 2009 08:30 am (UTC)
I think that the pacing has finally slowed down.

Let me just say that I think there were two new music tracks in this episode, one being this completely new angsty strings thing of epic awesome, and another that sounded just barely different than one of the episode preview tracks (if anything, it's an extension of it, being much longer and differing as it goes on).

Both were AWESOME. :D

As fart as the episode goes, it set thing up very well, and the switching of events didn't annoy me at all, contrary to what I thought before the episode. AND YES FOR BETTER PACING, EVEN IF BY ONLY A LITTLE. FMA:B continues to impress me~ ^______^

Thank God. This was the slowest paced episode yet. I actually don't feel dizzy after watching it.

BAAAAAAAAAAWL. that's all.

That was a really nicely done episode. ;w;

Heartbreaking, to say the least. T__T
.. and they kept most facts intact the reaaaally important ones, only jumbling some stuff to shove it all under 25 minutes. No complaining here. :x

The pacing of the show has finally showed down, at least for now. This episode was paced perfectly IMO, and I didn't at all mind the time line switch-up they did. Glad Ed, Al and Winry all found out about Hughes now and spoke to Gracia about it before they get caught up in everything that's about to go down with the Homunculi.

Hearing Elicia crying through the door when Ed and Al leave was also one of the saddest things ever. :(

At first I was a bit annoyed that they had Maria tell them about Hughes instead of them finding out through the newspaper (which would have also implied that if it hadn't been for that coincidence they would have never found out at all).
But having her tell them before she gets arrested also makes a great impact, so I'm okay with that.
The phone-booth scene was cruel. ;_;
I liked that they didn't show Gracia crying, but only let Ed hear it through the door. That makes it an even more private and painful affair than if she had been standing in front of a window, I think.

How could they leave out the bit with Ling being waaaay taller than Ed >:|
No fucking way.
That is a swift kick to the balls- to have a ching ping be taller than you.
Way to go, asshole directors.

I was upset about that too. And they also cut the scene when Ed made a weird version of Ran Fan's mask. D:

OMG you're right fdsfdgfj DD:
And it's not like there wasn't PLENTY of space for both...

That's not the only drawback of this episode. I dunno, maybe it's just me, but I couldn't help but feel like the animation quality kinda sorta dropped in this one too :/

I cried sooo much this episode. The part where Gracia cried made me lose itt. I agree, I think the pace of this episode went well. I liked how it played out. I am probably the only one who giggled when I saw Sheska hiding Roy. -_- I fail soo bad. I made a joke out of it saying they just got finished from a quikie. Ahemm Yah I fail.
Bahaha Everything with Havoc made me giggle. <3 Love.
Good episode.

One bit that they missed that is oddly important--that bit in the washroom when Armstrong points out to Roy that Ed is nearly sixteen---and old enough to be sent to the front since he's just passed his annual assessment. Reading that in the manga hit my gut like a ton of bricks. One more reason for Roy to fight the system--watching the boy you mentored and urged to enlist grow up in the ranks of State Alchemists--and realizing he could be dead meat on a battlefield or worse--be forced to be come a mass murderer too.

Lovely, angsty Roy....siiiiiighhhhhh....and mood being broken by Armstrong's FLUSH! ::image of Armstrong on the can---DO NOT WANT!!!::
