Episodes?

I don't know how accurate this is, but Wikipedia has a listing of the Episode titles of Brotherhood up to ep. 5:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Fullmetal_Alchemist_episodes#Fullmetal_Alchemist:_Brotherhood

So, it looks like our episode break down is this:

2. Backstory
3. Lior
4. Nina
5. Introduction of Scar

So meaning if they intend to follow the manga, then we've got the Resembool, 3rd laboratory, (possible Al angst arc) Hughes, and Rush Valley arcs before we even GET to Greed.

...I dunno, I was kinda hoping that'd we'd screw that and jump right into Greed so we can get to Xing and stuff, but whatever. As long as they're planning on getting to it SOMETIME, I'm happy, I guess.

I was so excited about that, it's ridiculous. SO. EXCITED!

I mean - what's more dramatic? Deliberately doing the impossible during a sacrifice to save your brother's soul? Or accidentally finding out you can do the impossible by transmuting a bunch of...was it flowers?

That scene in the manga is one of my favourites, it was so emotional and intense - I hope they can capture that in the anime!!!! *is anxiously hopeful*

*goes to watch the trailers for the hundredth time*

"It hurts" asdkljhfewugaaaaaaaaaaaaah!

Ed's nightmares. Oh my god. O_O
And his face after a nightmare always slays me. ;_;

The chapters when Ed meets Hoho for the first time in ten years, and then has a nightmare, and then digs up the humanish-thing they transmuted... O__O
AND IT NEVER DEVOLVES INTO WANGST! How does Arakawa do it?

So my favourite (emotional/intense) scenes (in no particular order): Saving Al's soul!!!; Ed's nightmares + aftermath; the Grave arc (chapters 42-44...yes, three chapters :P); Roy telling Havoc he'll be waiting at the top, so catch up (Roy, you are my hero); Al telling Ed not to be so hard on himself, it hurts to watch (from chapter 44...it merited its own mention :P);
Zuko asking his uncle's forgiveness (oops, wrong fandom :P)

Also...kind of grim (and very gory) but the end of chapter 76-beginning of chapter 77 was holy @*#% so many kinds of awesome and ohcrapwhatnow!!! Adrenaline rush! ...Ed has a ridiculously high pain threshold...ridiculous

Yes, go read the manga - read chapters 42-44 :D (what are your favourite lulzy moments?)

She is SUCH a genius, and I really, really hope the new anime keeps with that because the 1st anime = so much wangst :(

OMG! The Riza freak-out! And then Roy, after he's completely destroyed Lust, being relieved that she was OK - he thought she'd been hurt!!!

Re-read the manga and then go on fma_reread: http://community.livejournal.com/fma_reread/ and read all their chapter summaries! (or read them and then re-read the manga) It is awesome!

Ed-Pinako interaction is made of win; I found the Paninya chase scene took too long, although I loved Ed's response to Al saying he shouldn't hit a girl: "Equality of sexes!" ROTFL!!!! And then he actually beats her up! I know violence isn't good and all that but...too often there's this "oh no she's just a girl I can't hit her blah blah blah" and Ed.Just.Doesn't Care. LOL

Olivia: there is not a scene in the manga with Olivia that is not either made of awesome or lulz - but usually both ("You're trying to kill me!" "You just figured that out?" haha Armstrong sibling love)

May I friend you? Zuko lulz ftw
