Question: Did you make a triangle and sew it to the top of your case? If so, have you considered making that part a section of the piece you already have instead of making two separate parts?

Sorry for asking, but sometimes the designer in me is curious.
Baby, I'm bad news.: Pan - Plush!Panpikachuashnat on November 5th, 2007 02:38 am (UTC)
Yeah, I made a little triangle afterwards and sewed it on. It was originally like that because I was going to stick a snap closure on it but decided not to in the end.

Another reason is because I don't know if I could make it already into the pattern... o_O;;

Nah, I like questions. :D

Well, I'm not sure how you made it to be honest, but let's say for example you have you finished piece. (The I-pod case.) You could eyeball the start for your "horn" (because technically that's what it is), you would work it the same as the triangle, just starting at the bottom and working it on the piece.

You could even round it out by sc all the way across the top. That would smooth the edges some. Basically it's the same principle, but looks more flat and part of the original piece.

Again, that's if I already had the finished piece in my hands. There are several ways of making cases either by working them flat and seaming, or working in the rounds. So, I'm just going from the finished piece on.

It's also interesting to see what other people have made. I've made ornaments one year to give away to fandom related friends with Christmas cards. I've even made a small cell phone charm, but have not posted pictures because it's part of the PIF meme, and I don't want to spoil the surprise.

Hmm, that makes sense. I'll give it a try and see how it looks this time around. Thanks for the info! :)

I agree, I love seeing what little things people make by hand of their favourite characters.
