The only one that I think will be touched (if any) is Izumi. Everyone else has European/North American names, so there's no reason to change...well, any of the names, to be honest.

They've actually gotten better with not changing the original japanese names. Granted, the original names are usually butchered by thick western accents, but they're there, by gum.

Though I have to say, I'm going to miss Al's flustered cries of "Nii-san!" every five minutes.

I can't believe.. they're going to to this X__X?! Don't they realize its bad business to display what parents would call 'black magic'?? XD!!!!

Nonetheless, at least they didn't license the manga.. DID THEY O_O!?

Bad business? As opposed to demons in Inu Yasha? "Witchcraft" in Witch Hunter Robin? Evolution on Pokemon ;P Maybe that last one doesn't count. Though, FMA seems to be rife with religious overtones.

Considering the immense popularity, it's not too surprising it's being shown. I'm kind of happy, this sounds exciting :D But in about a few months we'll see a new giant tide of fans. o.o!

Am I the only one that thinks the manga will not be licensed for a long time?

The current trend is to have a new "graphic novel" every two months. There are only seven tankoban out in Japan. We'd run out after only a little over a year and then have a huge gap between the next installments since it's a monthly publication with four chapters to a book. I could be wrong, but arn't a lot of the manga licensed and published in the USA either finished or really far ahead (ie: Inu Yasha)? =/

they probably won't. it's only one name, and in most "americanizations" that like too keep a japanese name here and there, no?

Because we all know Cartoon Network kills anime dead.

Any guesses on what names will be changed to? Cause I know they are going ot change some.... *sob*

Yeah, like they changed the names of Spike, Jet, Faye, Ein, Ed, and Vicious in Cowboy Bebop to...um...Spike, Jet, Faye, Ein, Ed, and Vicious.

Or like they changed the names of Inuyasha, Kagome, Kaede, Kikyo, Miroku, Sango, Shippo, Sesshoumaru, Naraku, Myoga, and so forth! How dare they call them Inuyasha, Kagome, Kaede, Kikyo, Miroku, Sango, Shippo, Sesshoumaru, Naraku, Myoga, and...uh...yeah.

Oh, but they changed a LOT of names in...! ...wait, no they didn't.

Oh, and FYI, it's not Cartoon Network that changes things like names. Cartoon Network has virtually nothing to do with what does and doesn't happen to a show except saying whether or not they'll air a certain thing.

Now if you were to come out bitching about how FUNimation will change names based on what they did to Conan...THEN you might have a valid bitching point.

As it stands, you're an idiot, shut up, go away, etc. etc. etc.

That's what I was complaining about, I know Cartoon Network doesn't change it. I was worried about Funi changing it, and although it's a slim chance, some companies have done some really idiotic things for no apparent reason.
