Here's something interesting
Hork(...I think) mentioned one time that the crucified serpent symbol was also known as a "flamel". It sounded awfully familiar so I looked it up on google.

1. It's the surname of the guy from Harry Potter who created the Philosopher's Stone.

2. He's an alchemist from 14th century France. Who was trying to make the Philospher's stone.
--> source

I posted that source on the Gaia FMA guild without looking much into it but then "watermelon" also pointed a very familiar symbol of page 7 of his drawings.

That was fun.

Your icon is hypnotizing as hell. X_x;

And that's scary, cause I'm watching HP on tv right now and they just said Flamel's name. XD;;;

How the hell is it that your icon is actually dancing to Cradle of Filth? ((Cradle of Filth is a death/black metal band))

You know whats really weird? Reading this entry unknowingly right when the name "Nicholas Flamel" is said in the Harry Potter movie you're watching on CBS. Not to mention they're discussing the Philosopher's stone then, too. But that's not too hard to figure out. I think I got the chills.

the same thing happened to me as the above commenters. a) i'm watching the harry potter movie on television, and the name was mentioned whilst reading this post. b) cradle of filth came on randomly on my winamp (coincidentally right after "melissa" had stopped playing), and was jamming to your icon. which is hypnotizing.

awesome. :3

First: Your icon is very hypnotizing. Mai-chan is cute. XD
Second: Thanks for the info~. I should join the Gaian FMA guild, but I'm lazy. (I'm Astareia on Gaia, by the way)
Third: ... am I the only one not watching Harry Potter on TV or listening to Cradle of Filth?

Old news, but thanks for bringing up again for newbies.

Haha. I posted this with the fact that Harry Potter was showing tonight in mind. Of course, I didn't know it'd be at the *exact same* time as when NF was mentioned in the movie (I'm in California; They're only to the maddening letters scene). Freaky. I'm psychic who transends time differences. XD

And as for why my icon would be going to *any* song's rhythm....durr. I have no answer. I've yet to see Po Po Tan...I think that's the name. Hopefully I will get to next week. Gwee. Back to studying and watching Harry Potter. I'm so productive. :D;;

Heh. Alchemy is teh nifty. I really like how there was obviously a lot of research that went into the series. A lot of thought. They didn't just stick some randomd symbolon Ed's back cos it looks cool . . . they actually went and found an actual alchemical symbol. Shiny.

As for SV-chan's icon . . . . It's dancing to Paddy McCarthy (by The Corrs). And yes, it IS hypontizing as hell. *starts drooling* buh . . . buh . . . braaaaainssss . . . .

Just one thingars: It's "Flamell." ^^;;
angsty lemon ukewabisuke on May 9th, 2004 09:20 pm (UTC)
I looked it under that but I didn't really get anything. And it didn't show up in the dictionary (stupid book..). So....meep. I guess the symbol itself can be that. grawr. my brains. n.n;;

I've yet to find a song on my playlist that my icon can dance to. Baaaah.

Actually, they even spell it as "Flamel" on the official merchandise. The rather attractive silver symbol necklace has "Flamel" printed on the box. I've never seen it spelled as "Flamell" anywhere, but I suppose names may differ.

That's odd. Maybe the site I found the information on had a typo. o.O;; Or, maybe, it can be spelled two ways. o.o;;? I'unno.
