ATTENTION:

I was just printing the Friday Schedule for the Chicago Wizard World And there is a thing on there that they will be screening the Fullmetal Alchemist Movie Friday Night.

Now if this is like last year (When they screened Red Eye) they will be giving away special "Tickets" at one of the Booths to get to get on the bus that will take you to the Theater. I just thought I would let all of The Chicago FMA fans get the Heads up. For more info go to www.wizarduniverse.com

Any idea if they've announced showing in NY or at any of the Anime cons near NYC, Boston, or NJ?

BTW
*HUGGLES your icon* Micky and Jake very sweet!

They Haven't said anything yet as far as I know but I would just keep checking the webpage. Hell even go as so far as to email them (have friends Email them even!) and tell them how much you would LOVE to see the movie and that you would be willing to attend their con just for that.

That's what some other fans and myself have done in the past and had work.

Your welcome! You can ask my mother I squeed rather loudly and may of bounced up and down a bit.

I thought I should share it with everyone else because I know alot of people haven't seen it and it would be bad to be greedy.....well not really :-D But I like to share.

S'okay! (thank you though!) I think if I beg my mom long enough she'll take me...-goes off to do that- (By the way, I love your Sokka icon!) XD And yes, thank you so much for sharing!

Do you happen to know what time Friday night?
The Purloined Kitten: Germany - Am I pretty?loves_bitch on August 3rd, 2006 12:46 am (UTC)
They Have not said, and Probally won't say until the day of the Con. Since it's a "Special Screening" They like to keep this things as secret as they can until the day of. It's even sort of a hit or miss things to get tickets and such.

Now I'm irritated that Funimation didn't show the flick at Wizard World Philly. (Apparently they were supposed to show episodes 50 and 51, but it got changed to 40 and 41, for some strange reason.)

Is it just me or is Funimation pimping at the Comicicons a lot more often? (PS: Have fun at Wizard World Chicago dude.)
The Purloined Kitten: Joker/HC - I Burn for youloves_bitch on August 3rd, 2006 01:43 am (UTC)
They're showing *looks at schedule* 41,42,43,and 44 on Sunday. Though I doubt i'll attend those (Sunday is my day to make my boy buy me things in the Dealers room lol)

And I think that Funi is getting the hint that most Comic Fans are Anime Fans too, which I think is awsome because I can remember the days when the only Anime Related booth at Wizard was the Old VIZ booth.

(I will! Also Icon LOVE)

*snicker* That's always fun. I want to go to Philly for both days next year, since I had to pass on Sat. this year due to SATs.

Probably. Although it seems to me that although most comic book fans are anime fans, not all anime fans are into comic books. Being the lone comic geek amongst a bunch of manga readers is often disheartening. (Although I occasionally force people to read Sandman, Lucifer and Y: The Last Man. And then I have them hooked. Buwahahaha.)

XD Kevin Smith is LOVE! Just, so much love. (I've met the man three times and he is the sweetest person ever.)

I have been going to all three days since the second year I went and I always have so much fun it's not even funny.

I know what you mean! I have some anime friends who just look at me oddly when I tend to rant about The Xmen, or How the Consintine movie raped the comic book and left it out to die (Which I actually told the director at Wizard one year. I have no shame sometimes)

Also Y: The Last man is LOVE, as are Sandman and Lucifer.

Isn't he just? I have met him so many times and he's such a sweetheart! The only person I think I love more in person than Him is Joss Whedon who is the biggiest fanboy and I love him for it.

I'm trying to sucker my parents into maybe going to SDCC for a graduation gift. *flails* But Philly was awesome. I literally ended up RUNNING across the con floor to meet Kevin Smith. (My cell rings and my mom goes "Kevin Smith is signing autogra-" "OKAYBYE! *turning to friend* KEVIN SMITH. HERE. SIGNING STUFF." And then we RAN. WE RAN LIKE HELL.)

Oh my god Constantine movie. They shouldn't have associated it with the comics, really. It wasn't a bad flick in itself but it wasn't my beloved English bastard. (Some people have inner voices. I have an inner John Constantine.) And oh my god so much love for you for even DOING that. Just...for the freaking win man.

Omg, you read Y AND Lucifer?!

Omg, you read Y AND Lucifer?! <i?YOU ACTUALLY READ LUCIFER?</i> (Oh the Lucifer fandom is so tiny, it's such a joy to find someone who knows the series. You know, aside from myself and the two friends I've forced to read it and got hooked.) You are awesome beyond reason.

Kevin's a real fanboy too. I love living in Jersey just because the Secret Stash is an hour from my house. I swear, it's one of my favourite comic shops ever. I luffs it so muuuuuch. When I met him at Wizard World, a friend of mine asked him to sign a small sketch she had done of Kevin flailing about the giant spider from the Superman movie. The fact he wrote "HEE HEE!" on the sketch makes us giggle to the day.

Hahaha! That's one way to do it I always used to use the Ol' "But it COULD Be EDUCATIONAL!" argument. It never did work. But I found if I whined and pouted enough I finally won.

Sorry, but did you read the Programming for Friday night? They are showing it at 6:00 p.m. in the Anime room (sponsored by FUNimation). It's the tiny room that they will be showing Anime in all weekend. No, it's not in a theatre downtown (like ACen's showing of Blood Trinity). You just show up, fill a room and watch it. But it should be cool none the less!! *is excited* ^.^
