New Book Release
I picked this up yesterday at our local Hastings; according to Amazon it's not due out until June 20th.

The book itself is cute - I've skimmed it right now; there are some editing screw-ups (in Ed's profile section it says "alchemy creates something out of nothing!" which is blatantly wrong; but in the section on alchemy they have it correct), but overall it's amusing. I spent an hour and a half chewing someone's ear off about the three-or-so pages on "real" alchemy in the back of the book, but I've ranted myself out in that regard.

Anyway, the book's loose into the wild. Go check it out yourself. XD

AAAGH. *dies at the description* Alric? ALRIC? And the homunculi aren't alchemists, and they're not CALLED "The Seven Deadly Sins". They're named AFTER the Seven Deadly Sins, but they don't CALL THEMSELVES THAT.

I'm preaching to the choir, I know, but....^^;;;

ROFl - Thats EXACTLY was I was gonna spaz about!!

In an alchemical ritual gone wrong, Edward Alric lost his arm and his leg. He was lucky¿his brother Alphonse lost his entire body. With Alphonse's soul grafted into a suit of armor, and the other brother equipped with mechanical limbs, they become government alchemists, serving the state on deadly missions and fighting the evil alchemists

called the Seven Deadly Sins.

Damn Amazon.......*shakes fist*

lol - Greed looks so cute on the cover! XD

I just looked on the Barnes and Noble site, and it's up for sale, so it can be ordered online (or you can get it in the store) right now. I thought the release date was supposed to be later, but hey, I'm not complaining. ^_^

i love how some of the 4 koma panels from the book that came with the 12 manga are at the back... that's a really clever idea.

So did you find the book in regular Graphics Novels, Young Adult Graphics novels or some place else? My Hastings has a annoying habit of splitting FMA volumes up and sticking some in with the regular Graphics Novels and the others in the Young Adult section, so I have to look both places, as well as the front of the store (where they sometimes put the new arivals) when I'm hunting for manga :rolleyes:.

Well I checked my Hastings yesterday and they didn't have this book or Manga vol. 8, so I guess I'll have to check back later. As to Boarders - there isn't one anywhere in my area so checking them isn't a option :).
