Ever been caught in a wierd momnet?
I was watching episode 50 of fullmetal alchemist and my mom decieds to come and watch with me and my younger sibilings. At first she said that this looked like a good show but, if you have seen episode 50 you know what happens and she told me why am i showing this to my sibilings? At least she didnt see the end! And when Ed started to cuss out hoho-papa she told me i should't should't watch this crap but, now she dosent mind.
As any thing kinda like this happen to you while watching FMA or any other anime and your parents decied to watch with you?

I remember oen time, I was watching my DVD of 1-4, and my dad came up to me and asked "What's this?" and I say "My favourite anime". He loks at the screen for a sec, then pulls up a chair and watches.

I never thought that would happen :P

Ranma 1/2 first three episodes.

FMA has NOTHING on them. :P
Nin: nin_tendo on April 10th, 2006 07:29 am (UTC)

I rented the first tape of Ranma 1/2 from Blockbuster when I was 13-14. I just barely managed to turn off the TV before my mother walked in from the kitchen.

I had to fake sickness to finally finish it, because I was too paranoid to watch it while anybody else was home. What with all the bare-chestedness, I just knew that my sexuality would come into question if I was caught by my parents.

When I was a kid I rented one of those borderline animes ... I can't remember what it was called, but I was about 12 and it pushed the line so I wasn't allowed to watch it. ^^ Now that it's over ten years later, my dad still dosen't get it, but my mom enjoys a good anime or game now and again.

Actually, my dad is more interested in things than my mom. It was funny because he will watch my shows, play my games, and read my manga when I go home to visit. (He even has his own PS2 now for when I come over because I stopped unhooking mine to bring with me.)

My mom was asking me about Princess Mononoke the other day because she watched part of it while it played on Cartoon Network, and 'didn't I have a ton of anime lying around?'. *snickers*

The weird moment though? Was when I went over there and I had just picked up a box of doujinshi that was sent to me before I left town. So of course I bring it in with all my stuff. Head out to shop with my mom and come back to find my dad looking through it. (Now note, this was all Roy/Ed Bambi Takada stuff, not as bad as it could have been but he did kind of look at me weird. I just shrugged my shoulders and went about my business.) Doesn't seem to stop him from looking to see what else I have.

Haha! I love these parents+anime stories.
My dad likes and watches FMA as they come out on DVD. My mom, however, just watched the first and last episode XD She's always so worried about Al- When he gets shot at or eaten by Gluttony, she makes these little scared noises. I have to remind her that he can't feel it...
neko28 on April 9th, 2006 08:21 pm (UTC)
When my mom saw gluttoney she got freacked out! She said OMG Ericha the fat guy is eating that poor robot -_- i told my mom that al is not a robot and she was really confused so i had to explain every thing!

I used to be the one watching my mom play computer and console games. Sometimes I still do.

Oh yes. My mom caught me watching FMA on the Tucker episode... basically she told me it was a horrible, sadistic show and that I should never watch it again.

But I forced her to watch the entire series with me and now she's hooked.

My Dad randomly decided to watch FMA with me one day (he repeatedly referred to Al as Ed's "metal friend", much to my amusement). Unfortunetly it was the episode when Scar kills Gran.

My mom used to sit and watch 'Fruits Basket' with me. She kept making fun of how horrifyingly corny it was and I can't honestly blame her.
Didn't stop her from watching almost all the episodes XD

My mom will watch fruits basket with me too its the only thing she will watch with me. My mom has the hots for hatori ^_^

I think it's called 'The Million Dollar Man'
"We have the technology, we can rebuild him. Faster, stronger, smarter, better than any man before!" or something like that never really watched it.

My father... He's always against anything supernatural. So he is always complaining whenever I watch Pokemon or Digimon. (Luckily he hasn't had the pleasure to see anything of Hagaren yet, which is very good...)

My parents have yet to be exposed to FMA. But I did watch Howl's Moving Castle with my mother one day. When it was over I had to explain the entire film to her.

I ain't letting her TOUCH FMA.

My mother and sisters LOVE Howl's Moving Castle, I think they're all Howl Fangirls now. >>; Though my mom is an Inu-yasha fangirl. *Eyes the Inuyasha key chain with the house and car keys on it and the Seshomaru keychain on her purse...* XD

Hhahaha My mom likes FMA, but she's only watched a couple episodes because "it comes on too late!".

Lol. Actually...I remember AGES ago when I was into DBZ. XD My dad...was a very confusing person, one day he'd be all "TURN THIS SHIT OFF!" when I was watching it....then another day he'd sit and watch it with me and be all "Oh what's going on!? Who is he!? What's does he do!? Is another episode coming on?! O_O;" I'm just like .....WTF? XD

My mom's watched FMA a few times and told me it was a bit too deep for her but a good show. Lol. Yey~ ^__^;
