Little help?
Hey, the third FMA novel comes out around the 16th of April (got pushed back a month :'( ) and I'm trying to find a summary for it. However the only thing I keep getting is the summary of the first book, where they go to Xenotime.

I'm curious 'cause when I heard that the book was called "The Valley of the Dancing White Flowers", I instantly thought of the first PS2 game. I'm pretty sure it's not going to be anything related to the game but still the title is more than enough to make anyone curious.

Here's the Amazon.com link

Can anyone that's either read it or found an actually summary/pre-view for it help me?

Thanks in advance if anyone does know.

Edit: Okay one question anwsered but I'd also like to know if anyone has read about whether or not Roy (and maybe Riza) are in the novel as well. Sorry if it's too much to ask for. (*Is a wee bit of a Royai whore. ;p*) The reason I'm asking is 'cause I think this is the picture from the back of the novel.

This is what Anime Castle says:
Settled by alchemists, the town of Wisteria has the reputation of being an idyllic retreat. But what Alponse and Edward find there is far from heavenly. Something doesn't seem right... especially when young Alphonse meets a local girl who sparks his romantic interest.

Hope this helps some. ^^;

*head/desk* A town in a valley of flowers named Wisteria. *gives standing ovation*

And like I thought, it has nothing to do with the game.

Thank you that helps a ton.

I work at a book store and I've been trying to sneak that book into our stores for weeks now since it showed up in our systems XD The date I have listed is 4/30/06...but if it comes out the 16th, I should be able to get it soon.

Although, I'm disappointed, since it doesn't sound like (from what I can see in the summaries) it has any other characters in it besides Ed and Al. I really loved the second one, since most of he military folks made appearances as well.

I know, the sums. suggest that only Ed and Al are in it, but you never know, there might be a mini story with the mustang-tachi again. I believe that the comic at the back of the book has Roy and his men playing a game that looks like scrabble while he'll on the phone, but that might be from the fourth book.

Wait... theres more than 1 novel? I need a life T^T

1st Novel: Land of Sand-Basically eps. 11 and 12 from the anime. Also a bonus story of the ghost of warehouse 13.
2nd Novel: The abducted alchemist- Edward and Roy are dealing with terroists when Ed is captured because the terroist believe he's Roy's son. (This is the funnist thing ever, I was laughing so hard.)

I recommend reading the second novel to anyone. Hopefully the third novel will be just as good.

I agree. The second novel was freakig hilarious. My friend was wondering what the hell was wrong with me when she saw me laughing hysterically when I'd just started reading the book. I'm not a fan of Roy, really, but the interaction between Ed and Roy was, for lack of a better word, freaking hilarious. ^ ^

Gonna shut up now.

No no I agree. I was totally laughing out loud at the second novel. Just that first scene where Ed was getting revenge against Roy on the train was pure FMA genius. I squee'd to my hearts content. (Almost as much so as the Mustang-tachi interogating Roy comic at the back.)

It just goes to show you how the relationships are played out in this series. Roy is like a Father figure to Ed and Al while Riza is a Mother figure. *hinthint* X3

Oh, I didn't realize they even released the second!

I wasn't planning on getting it, what with how the first one turned out, but I'm changing my mind. I'm just glad that the novels aren't going to summarize the episode like the first one did.

Oh I know, that annoyed me a little (The ghost at warehouse 13 was at least told better than the anime version) The second book is fantastic and original. I think that the stories are kinda about what happened before the series started (you know between when Ed first became a state alchemist and the current timeline.)

Ed and Al go to a city. The reason for that was:

They ate at a restaurant. Ed ordered lots of things, but found that he had no money after days in the mountains, and goes to take out cash from his bank accound, but found that his account was frozen. By Roy Mustang, of course.

Roy wanted them to go to that city because lately, the South(cna't really remember which headquarter) HQ caught many criminals and solved many cases. But Roy thinks something is not right, but he's too busy(aka lazy) to go himself.

And that city happens to be a kind of...erm...hole-in-the-ground city? The city uses "Equivalent Exchange" as a rule. Everyone seems very happy there, but the city also has a dark side. Because of the EE rule, ones who cannot be of any use were abused and some were even sold to the South HQ(to be fake criminals). Ed eventually discovers that the one who rules this city is a bad guy, and in the end, you know what happens.

And alos, the girl whom Al and Ed meets is NO MARY SUE. Gosh, you guys should stop calling every OC female a Mary Sue. Al DID NOT have a lot of romance interest in her. Something she said just makes Al think about his want to return to his normal body.

Personally, I think this novel is the best of the four novels(haven't finished the fifth yet), the plot is better than the last two. And you can see that Inour is starting to improve.

Yay evil Roy! Sounds great. (You really think this story is better than the second novel? Is that plot development-wise or humor-wise?)

You've read the fourth and some of the fifth books as well? Would you be kind enough to tell me if Roy and Riza are in them? And if they are are there any tiny royai hints like in the second book that'd make me go *squee*? (I loved the scene in the second book where that box was heading for Riza and Roy panicked and pulled her behind her to protect her. I squee'd to my heart's content there X3)

Thank you for the summary. I can't wait 'til it finally comes out.
