FMA Movie Pre-Order
I looked back a couple of posts and didn't see anything about this so let's hope it wasn't already posted and I accidently overlooked it:

CDJapan has the FMA movie up for pre-order. You can see all the details here. There will be 2 editions of the movie -

Limited edition = 8925yen/US$ 72.05
Regular edition = 3990yen/US$ 32.21

The release date will be on 2006/01/25, well into next year. From what I understood the limited edition is the only version with English sub-titles. I suppose either save up your money or are lucky to know Japanese. I already pre-ordered the limited edition, so hurry up before they're gone and get stuck with the regular one (just like what happened with FF:AC).

Whoops, sorry about that, I really hadn't seen any post. I didn't see anything. ^^; Hmm, I never had that concern with CDJapan, and I've been ordering from them for years and they always charge right before they ship. Plus I used some of those earned points from previous purchases so it was a lot less.

Hmm, and I have a debit card too, not a credit card (I'm not that dumb and about to get myself into debt, spending money when I don't have it). ^^; I suppose we all just have our own little preferences huh? Although I did find a lot of cheaper L'Arc stuff on Amazon.co.jp than on YesAsia and CDJapan. I suppose because those stores specialize in importing so taxes are higher. Thanks for pointing it out though! XD

73.00 dollars for an limited edition? that's a bit too much...

Just notice none of the dvd covers has Winry at all >_>; Bunch of sexist bastards....

Yeah, but that's actually those are all regular Japanese prices. Something to do with their Yen value and the economy... I forget. Usual DVDs range from $30 up. The only thing that would make it seem more is the shipping costs.

Oh yeah, none of them have Winry, just Hawkeye. O_o They should have a cover with all the FMA girls one day.

Yeah especially for Region 2 DVD which will only play on a Region 2 DVD or a Regionless DVD.

Well it IS a Japanese DVD so it makes sense.

If you have a DVD player on your computer, you can download a program that makes it Regionless. :)

I am aware and I have such on my own computer, but I prefer to watch dvds like this in the comfort of a couch or bed so a physical region 0 or region 2 player is required.

hm ive never had bad experiences with cdjapan ^^;; i was able to use my points to lessen the price as well on the limited edition dvd. my mom had the same reaction as miki05, so that's what im getting for christman im guessing ._. oh well, tis worth it XDDD im prolly not gonna want the english version anyway, but we'll see.

Will there even be an English version soon? Cause I think the majority of us could use that one instead (I have to work my butt off to buy my stuff so it sucks even more for me 'cause I can't just ask my parents anymore -_-).

Do you know if the bonuses will also have subtitles ?
Leeza__moon_child__ on November 19th, 2005 06:39 pm (UTC)
I don't know. Most of the time the extras don't, just the movie (except in the interview with Stephen Chow in Kung Fu Hustle). ^^ Let's hope so.

But Kung Fu Hustle is sold in the U.S.... :'D
