cosplay question! i need help T_T
i have a question for whomever can help. I'm cosplaying munich!edo, and i need to find arm garters like the ones he wears. There's a pic of them under the cut, so for anyone who can give me a link to someplace that has them, that would help so much ^^ otherwise ill have to make my own -_-;; so yes, please help?

oh and dont worry, there's no spoilers under the cut, it's just a piccy of his sleeve where the garter is ^_~

i think you can make your own using a covered elastic... I haven't seen those around much =/

make sure to use the kind of eleastic that doesn't roll.. (like for pants or skirts) it's more expensive but worth it.

I've always wondered what were this things... Oo

In the early 1900's in was improper to roll up your sleeves. See how it's bunching over a little bit on the top of it? If you wanted to "roll up your sleeve" you just pulled your sleeve up more over the top and the band would hold it in place - (you would never un-cuff your sleeve though).

>.<; I hope my explanation came out ok.
(*worked at "Amercia's Greatest History Attraction" aka Greenfield Village again this past summer*) <333. 91-year-old cars are fun to drive!

thank you :D So it's not only to look nice (I like it a lot ^^;), it has some use (it means Ed's shirt is too long for him)
So you lived in the past ? XD But how could it be improper @___________________@

Now I'm wondering why is Ed only wearing one on his flesh arm :x

(it means Ed's shirt is too long for him)

All shirts were made that way... ^^; (One size fits all, I guess XD;)

So you lived in the past ?

My time period was 1903-1927.. XD;; So much fun.
I never had to wear one for my uniform ("Model T" District), but the people of the "Main Street" District did...

XD But how could it be improper @___________________@

I never heard why, just that it was. My guess though:
Ever seen lady's dresses, or men's fashions from the period? Everyone's dressed from head-to-toe. To show a little skin (aka rolling up one's sleeve) might have been... rude....? I'm guessing... XD;;

ahhh!!! i always wondered why he was only wearing one in that picture, i guess he really wouldnt have any need to roll up the sleeve on his prosthetic. it doesnt get hot and he's not exactly known to flaunt it lol

thank you!!

This isn't terribly helpful, but I once worked at a costume shop where they sold those. So they're probably out there somewhere...making your own might be your best bet though.

you could always try a Clares or Uhh little girl type place... and get a black headband thingy... Like those strechy ones. It might be small enough that it could work... and I think they come in like packs of 2 ^_^
