Something that needs explaination..kinda
Just a thought:

In the episode that Barry is introduced (6?), Winry is shown brought in with her hands chained together and she stands by a table. Ed tries to get her free to no avail and you can clearly see that she's just a bit taller than him, meaning she's got her feet on the ground (plus, there's nothing else right next to them).

However, in a later scene, she's shown losing her balance on a smaller stool/endtable of some sort. Where did this object of elevation come from? =/

Yes, I need sleep.

I could be getting this wrong because it's been forever since I saw that episode, but ... when did she lose her balance on the stool? Because there was that nice gap of unconciousness due to a blunt object striking the back of Ed's head.

It was during the time Ed was running around trying not to become mincemeat. Winry is brought in after he regains conciousness.

I noticed the same thing.. I assumed that maybe, while Barry's attention was focused on Ed, Winry stepped on something, a stool or a table, to try and free her hands from the hook.. But I'm not sure of that, maybe it's really just a mistake XD

yeah, that's what i thought could have been a possiblity, but she seemed to be preoccupied watching Ed nearly get minced instead of freeing herself. That and there seemed to be no stool/table anywhere near her besides the large one. So yeah. I just assumed that:

a) they originally had a scene where she climbed onto it but then cut it out.

b) that the director thought it'd be cool that she lost her balance and neglected to show a scene where she did climb onto it (thus, it being a mistake).

Whatever. I just like thinking about these things too much. XD

I noticed that as well (the second or third time I watched it, though, I was too busy being traumatized the first).. FMA has a few little continuity errors like that, so I just ignored it. ^^; I think it was just a mistake. BTW, this is actually ep 8, in case anyone wants to look for it.
