Trailer 4 sub o.o
[Xylomen]_Fullmetal_Alchemist_Movie_Trailer_[ExtendedVersion].avi.TORRENT

Trailer 4. English subbed. Get it while it's hot. :3

(And no, I have never heard of this group. But from my limited Japanese, the translation seems okay)
Fine. I get it. The translation isn't all that great. -_-

Re: Won't work!
If you hover your mouse over the link, you'll see in your browser's status bar that the file ends with .avi.torrent, meaning that you need something that can open torrents in order to watch.

Re: Won't work!
It's a torrent file....
josefphe on July 1st, 2005 05:59 pm (UTC)
Awesome!! Thanks!

BTW something's been bugging me-- for us fansub viewers, when should we expect a fansub of the movie? Soon after it's premiere in like bootleg form.. or like when the DVD comes out?

Just curious.
Gregjkaizer on July 1st, 2005 06:02 pm (UTC)
When the DVD comes out. It's rare to find a bootleg, much less a decent one, of anime movies.
Get Ready.megamialchemist on July 1st, 2005 06:03 pm (UTC)
what's a bootleg?
Gregjkaizer on July 1st, 2005 06:04 pm (UTC)
When someone goes into the theature with a camera and records it =P
josefphe on July 1st, 2005 06:08 pm (UTC)
Thanks mang. >_>;
How long does it usually take for DVDs to come out in Japan? Lol.. just curious.
Gregjkaizer on July 1st, 2005 06:18 pm (UTC)
Not quite sure. I think we should get it before Christmas though. Late November/early December is my guess. :/
Captain Chrismyuutsuuman on July 1st, 2005 11:25 pm (UTC)
Yeah, I wouldn't expect it to take too long. Probably there's a good chance of it being released either November, December or January. We'll also probably be seeing FUNimation acquiring the rights to the movie by then.

You might want to warn that it's a torrent; my computer just had a seizure trying to open it and not knowing what the frick it was...
Gregjkaizer on July 1st, 2005 06:02 pm (UTC)
I assume people know that... *edits* v_V
Angehangiechow on July 1st, 2005 06:42 pm (UTC)
Omfg they better bootleg it fakjgdaklgdj~ NOVEMBER! I can barely wait this extra month cry.
miki05 on July 1st, 2005 06:58 pm (UTC)
o.o They translated it pretty well. You can see, Joy and Sorrow at the end, yeah those FMA creators are not letting Al and Ed stay together. >>; is official
Captain Chrismyuutsuuman on July 1st, 2005 11:10 pm (UTC)
Even without subs, you can tell this may not end happily ever after like the directors promised. >_o

Umm... is it just me or is the translation off? o____o I know my Japanese is also very limited, but there are a few things that don't make sense...

And I know fore sure that "gekijouban" means movie, and not "joy and sorrow".
Gregjkaizer on July 1st, 2005 07:31 pm (UTC)
Well, everyone makes mistakes... and it's better than nothing :)
Captain Chrismyuutsuuman on July 1st, 2005 11:22 pm (UTC)
I'm at least glad it wasn't YEYSubs doing the trailer. x_X They completely messed up LOST HEAVEN's lyrics for the last trailer except for the "Forsaken was Heaven" line.

Thanks for the link, Greg.
Gregjkaizer on July 2nd, 2005 11:30 am (UTC)
Lyrics are hard to do, especially when you're dealing with LQ Engrish. Give them a break.
Yuuki Hikariyuukihikari on July 9th, 2005 08:04 am (UTC)
Yeah, there weren't any lyrics out at all for Lost Heaven when they did those subtitles... LQ Engrish is hard to translate, especially when it's slurred in song.

I've got it, about to watch. I'll be seeding it all night tonight and all day tomorrow, off of my laptop which is wirelessly connected to a DSL connection, so the speed should be decent at least.

*scampers away to watch*

Great translation, and fast downloading. XD But there are some mistakes.
The 'Theater Version' in the last part is one. The second one, is where Noa(the dark skinned lady) says something to Edward, it's ' You and I are the same, without a home.' <--translated by a Japanese.
Besides that, it's pretty good.^^
musecadutomusecaduto on July 2nd, 2005 05:39 pm (UTC)
Is there any way you can put this up so it's not torrent? Or e-mail it to me or something? I'd be much obliged!
ino_nyankoino_nyanko on July 2nd, 2005 09:11 pm (UTC)
One translation error
Roy really says "I knwo u still alive"
ino_nyankoino_nyanko on July 2nd, 2005 09:12 pm (UTC)
Re: One translation error
oops xD
"I knew u still alive"
Ayameminako134 on July 3rd, 2005 12:05 am (UTC)
Yeah, pretty cool, but I'm sure some of those lines were wrong; the Roze-look-alike says "You're the same, right?" not 'brothers', the narrator at the end says "Ed and Al's journey of battling begins" not 'fight once more', and Roy actually says "I knew you're alive"; also, at the end, Ed says "I will protect this world" rather than 'must', but that's just being nit-picky. ^_^

Another translation note I did when the raw first came out:
after "anatamo onaji ne." I think she said "kokyo wa nai." Which is "This isn't your homeland."

Personally I thought she was refering just to Ed for the 'anatamo'. It didn't seem like this was her homeland either.

Yay! *downloads* I missed so much while I was on vacation....
