Basic Concept of the RP
This story actually takes place during the Fullmetal Alchemist anime. As we all know, Edward and Alphonse Elric are brothers who tried to bring their mother back from the dead, but failed in the end, one losing his entire body and the other losing part of his. They have since vowed to get their bodies back and have set on a journey in search of the item that just might make their dreams come true, the Philosopher's Stone....
And this is where we get to the AU part of things. (AU standing for "alternate universe".) This RP is by no means obligated to follow the anime storyline in any way and thus we are allowed the freedom to do as we will. (Granted that it is IC behaviour.) The only things that are set in stone are the very basics of the show, such as the Elric brothers searching for the Philosopher's Stone, Edward Elric being a so-called "dog of the military", the Sins being who they are with the purpose they had and such forth. Everything else is left up to our own imaginations and wishes. Not too hard, right?

Luckily, we're still just getting things underway, so nothing of any importance has happened just yet.

Knowledge of the complete series is not required. As long as you know enough to know the personality of your character and the show basics, everything's fine.
Also, for those who have limited/no RP knowledge, we're all more than willing to help, so don't be afraid. XD
As a final note, people will be allowed to pick up second characters beginning next Saturday, so you might want to go ahead and apply before then, to prevent the character you want from being taken. I will be honest and say that we have two players who want Scar and Hohenheim, but these characters will remain open for claimage until next Saturday. ^^
