Hello! I have a question about the anime.

I'm unclear about one thing. Why didn't Dante herself just make the Philosopher's Stone in Lab 5, rather than having the homunculi lead Ed and Al on to do it?

Dunno. maybe she was weak from body jumping. or the decay lowers her power?

As shown perfectly by her displaying the most godly alchemy seen in the entire series =P

That's true - after being so adept at it for so long, it might not TAKE any strength to do so much.
How does anyone really know, right?
...That comment above you was really fuckin' rude. XP

Generally because making a Philosopher's Stone leads to very bad things. For instance, Hohenheim died the first time they made a stone. The only reason he's still around is because she used the stone to transfer his soul into another body. I imagine Dante doesn't want to die in the attempt to make one.

Hohenheim died trying to revive Envy, not making the stone...if I remember correctly.

And the only reason Scar died was cuz the bullets and loss of arms and stuff.

Other than the human sacrifices, I don't recall the series even hinting that making a philosopher's stone harms the alchemist.

No, if you watch episode 45 again, Hohenheim died making the Stone. They don't even mention Hohenheim bringing Envy back until episode 50.

Nah, I remember the scene where Hohenheim was making the stone, then suddenly collapsing. Dante rushed to the nearest living person and tranfered his soul to the body with the newly created Philosopher's Stone.

It'd be sad if she used a maid instead of a butler... XD

*big fat silly giggles*

Exacly like kaitou_marina said, Dante did not want to risk her own life to make the Stone. She of course tries to get someone else (Edward in this case) to do te dirty job for her. If Ed had gone through the process, he also had the risk of dying like Hohenheim did.
