Title// Of Coffee and Chocolate Author//akaeoko a.k.a. Brisa Rating// PG-13, I guess. Swearing. Characters// Alphonse. RoyxEdward. Hints of past RoyxHughes. Word Count// 6375 Summary// Edward stupidly runs out into the freezing cold and rain for hours on end and Alphosne asks for Roy's help when he can't find Edward. Notes// In character this time. I guess this is all kinda cliche, a bit. Ehh. Partially beta'd. No spoilers, unless you don't know what Ed and Al found out when they decoded Marcoh's research. Takes place the day after the research was decoded.
'Cause I was doing some looking, and either I've memorized character's titles wrong, or FMA just messed with the rankings wrong ... for example:
Hewes outranked Mustang by one 'level', 'Major' over Colonel. But what I was reading, was that the Colonel title actually outranks 'major' twice, Lieutenant Colonel being inbetween ... another example:
'Furher' is a title held in Germany, holding no real comparison to say ... 'General', which is the highest American ranking ... and I dunno if Archer was called 'Brigadier' or 'Brigadier General', because if taken literally, each holds different rankings in American and British offices, so that would make Archer have an extremely high rank or intermediate (But either way, it outranks Colonel ;_;), but that difference is by a few levels, so it matters ...
And I think a few titles were mixed between Navel and Army rankings, so that further confuses me. O.O
So! Either I'm wrong, the writer of FMA is wrong, or the translators are wrong, because I'm sure Japanese rankings would differ from the American, German, AND British subsequence too, which doesn't help me, but I'd like to point out that Fullmetal Alchemist DOESN'T take place ANYWHERE near Japan, no matter how thoroughly fangirls have Alphonse say 'niisan', and Edward call Colonel Mustang 'Taisa'. >.<
Series Title: Calling of Kurai Series Rating:: R Main Characters: Roy Mustang, Riza Hawkeye, Jean Havoc, Heymans Breda, Kain Fuery, Vato Falman, Kenny Brosh, Maria Ross. Summary: Post-movie. Everything seems routine for the Mustang-tachi until monsters appear and several murders occur. Also, several women disappear without a trace. Will they be able to solve this mystery, or will this case hit closer to home than comfortable? Warning: It's kept in character (No OOC) but has some material in later chapters which might be considered inappropriate for younger readers. This includes graphic imagery and gore. Also keep in mind that it's post-movie and does contain small spoilers.
Some crappy fanart. I drew it during my Law class because we had a guest speaker :\ And then some quick colouring on Photoshop. I know it's not very good XD;; I also have no idea what that thing is in his hand, I just put his hand in that position and knew I had to put something in it :\
After a long(enough) time contemplating what I will write next(or just watching the simpsons and anime. What's it to you?) I have come up with the next part to my post-FMA fanfic. Title-Another gate Genre- Action, Ed/Win rating- PG(violence, swearing) Notes- Post-movie spoilers. All other parts of the story can be viewed at my journal Time & place- Risenbool, 1 year after the FMA movie Summary- Ed and Al were in Munich. They were at home thinking about where they came from when they were pulled through a strange portal. They immediately realized that they were where the gate dividing the two worlds had once resided. In its place was a newly constructed gate. The Elrics were pulled through this new gate, and placed directly in front of Winry Rockbells house. The story continues as the brothers awaken...
I just wanted to let everyone know that I finally sent the letter to Arakawa today. After all that time it took to send I chose an express delivery method and she should get it in 5-7 days. Thanks to everyone who contributed to the letter I really appreciate it.
In the end we had 174 names from 33 countries and 45 pieces of fanart to send to Arakawa. I also bought the following to send with the letter (actually it was more like a package.) The image is large so I am putting it behind the cut.
