*laughs* Okay, this isn't a doujinshi. It's just a fanfic I PLAN to write with a friend - it's not available yet. The image is quite large, so I put it under a cut of course but in case you have a Devart account, you can leave a comment for me here:

And how do you choose which of your icons you want to use when you have multiples uploaded? Do you actually have to go, select a default every time you want a different one, or is there an easier way?

I'm a relative newbie to FMA, but it has hooks deep in me. I have a lot of time on my hands, I started making icons. LOTS of icons. I'm sure, like everyone, many people here are members of more than one FMA community and may have seen these before, but in case you haven't here they are. Roughly 35 icons and 4 banners =)

There is a LOT under the cut, graphic heavy, be warned =)Collapse )

Title: Untitled (or "Undying LURVE" XD)
Author: selskia
Beta/ect: kalika_maxwell
Archive: Ask, probably to ToukaKoukan
Genre: AU (ish), Romance (ish), Smut, Yaoi
Rating: R/NC-17
Warnings: NECROPHILIA, lime-ish sex, male-male relations, major character death
Pairing(s): Roy x Ed
Summary: "I could have been there," he hissed, face just brushing the blond's ear.
Notes: Ok, this fic contains necrophilia, just in case you didn't see the all-caps bolded text up there. Yes, I'm a sick, sick creature. Please don't flame and yell unless you actually read the thing though, at the very least >_< If you don't read, you don't really know what you're talking about. Oh, and it would hurt my feelings very much if you yelled at me, so try not to? ;_;

Hey, everyone, I have a quick question/favor to ask!

Was the Volume 9 cover ever released? Like, what the image would be? If so, does anyone have a picture of it?

Please and thank you!

Edit: Oooooookay! Turns out volume 9 wasn't the image I was looking for. ._. There's a picture somewhere out there over the rainbow of Ed from the Manga (in color) where he's wearing a travelling cloak sort of thing. I saw it once...but... I don't remember where.

Edit 2 Um....The November calender thing looked sorta like it... It was practically the same outfit....but there was alot of green in the image and I think there were ruins in the background, or something. ...maybe it doesn't exist and I'm just crazy ._.

Now, does anyone know where a bigger image of it is? ._.

(I shall scratch more crap out to amuse you.)

As I began writing for the pairing I claimed in the 'ithurtsmybrain' community (Scar (Fullmetal Alchemist/Goldie Gunsmith Cats), it quickly became apparent that it would take quite some time for me to digest that which I had bitten off. Blame falls squarely on the vague ideas I had already had for a post-FMA fic. Seeing that the GSC world could easily fall within the scope of FMA, the two had some strange sort of copulation in my head and the result ended up being mainly a post-FMA fic that will happen to include the Scar/Goldie pairing. So without further ado, Chapters 1 and 2:

(Working) Title: Scars of the Windy City
Pairing: Scar/Goldie (eventually)
Rating: This bit is PG, though overall it'll probably be PG-13.
Notes: Contains spoilers for the entire FMA series and the GSC manga. My first non-original work in a long while.

Prolog + Chapter 1Collapse )
Chapter 2Collapse )

Enjoy! X-posted to fma_writers and ithurtsmybrain.

I'm trying to find a particular piece of fanart that someone made an icon of over on crack_icons.

It's a pic of Ed...as a Sailor Scout. It looks well done, but I can't make out the whole pic from the shots given.

Anyone know where I can find it or happen to have a copy hiding in there collection?????

I don't know how much contact you guys have with Anne Rice and her writings, but I started reading her when I started college (three years ago). For the most part, I could make it through everything, but there two or three I never finished reading. Lasher was one of them. I stopped just before Lasher started telling his story, because I hated the character and he scared me (he still does, I had nightmares for weeks).

Anyway, I was showing icedark_elf a poem out of the book that reminded me of FMA last night. I set the book on my desk and went to bed. This morning, while I was waiting for my computer to boot up, I skimmed through the pages.

I read this:

A friend of mine linked me to an article put up by an online anime magazine, concerning Fullmetal Alchemist. It's rather... interesting, to say the least, and I honestly cannot tell whether it's meant to be serious or an April Fool's joke. Take a look for yourself:

article does contain SPOILERS through the end of the series

Now in all seriousness, I can respect that everyone has their own opinion, and that not everyone's necessarily going to fall in love with the same series. However, this article strikes me as rather unprofessionally done, especially considering things such as the inaccurate assumptions about the production of the series and obviously lack of research on the manga and other background details. As my friend who linked me to it put it, did the author sleep through the show or something?

Now, noting the date of the issue this is from, I'm not ruling out the possibility it *could* be a prank, but I don't know anything about that particular webzine I'd have no idea. Could anyone take a look and clarify? I don't want to be ranting and railing about it to friends if it's not...

Edit: I would like to note that I am *not* taking issue with FMA being criticized. I would personally *love* to read a well thought-out, researched, and written critique of the series. What bothers me is simply the sheer lack of professionalism in the article, not that the author was being critical.
