Mom: *walks into room* ...what are you watching?
Me: Fullmetal Alchemist.
Mom: Well. Japan has you hook, line, and sinker.
Me: Well remember the bulge in roy's pants? That's how they did it
Mom: I wonder about you *leaves*
you'll have to see my previous post to understand the bulge thing xD
I was just wondering how many people out there have read or are reading the FMA manga. I bought up through volume nine a week ago, and was quite stupid and, in a moment of boredom, instead of just reading book 7 straight through like I should have, grabbed book 9 and started flipping.
...please tell me someone else out there has also read this far, so I can start screaming to them about this. Plllllllleeeeeeease. 'Cause right now, with where it stopped, it's just a big, "NO, NO, NO, JUST NOOOO!"
....book 10 better be out soon. That's all I'm sayin'.
*points to subject heading* Yeah. That. *screams*
I want to know if anyone has seen the art books that they have for full metal alchemist. i want to know if people think they are worth buying or not.
thanks for any input
Heh, I went to Megacon yesterday and to my surprise found that Funimation was there. So, of course, I went on over to see the Al...and take pictures. *evil grin* I dressed as Winry and my friend was Ed so both he and I posed around the Al. You know I had to do it...I sat underneath Al and looked under his loincloth while Ed stood shocked and pointing his finger. Now, I saw way too many flashes of light than are possible from just one camera so when I poked my head out from underneath, there were like, 20 people taking pictures of us! I laughed so hard and ducked back underneath Al's cloth. XDDD Just thought I'd share that little bit with y'all. Once I get the pictures developed I'll post them up here.
And yay for Funimation! I won the first volume of FMA on DVD from them! *dances with glee* I simply adore free stuffs. ^-^
While watching the episode last night, my wife started watching it with me.
[Wife] Which is the one all the girls lust after?
[Me] Roy Mustang.
[Wife] Which one is he?
[Me] That one there.
[Wife] (casually) I can see it.
So, I was lookin' around the Anime News Network encyclopedia when I noted a series called Armored Alchemist. Of course, it was an automatic reaction to check it out... and the similarities are very intriguing.
Plot Summary: Kazuki Mutou is mortally wounded saving a girl from a strange monster, but is given a new life through the power of the alchemically-made Core Iron.Al, anyone? Along with a second chance, this grants him the ability to use his own Busou Renkin, or Alchemy Weapon. Joining forces with Tokiko, the Busou Renkin user he'd saved earlier and who gave him the Core Iron, he uses his newfound powers to fight the malevolent Homunculus monsters and protect his friends and the rest of mankind.
Anyone know any more about it? I'm thinking it's a rip-off, but I don't know when it was published, so I can't dismiss it yet. Still, though... Homunculus as villains? Don't they ever get a break?
I have a question, but it's pretty much your opinion so...
Riza is often with the military guys, right? How do you think she feels about being with them?
Sorry if this has been asked a million times before, which I'm sure it already has >_> But does anybody have a reference for military uniforms or Ed's? I have this strange urge to look at all the details for some reason. I'm pretty sure I found a link in one of the comments here before, but I guess I lost it. Sorry if this is spamming or anything.
On a side note: Did anybody realize that the Dub VA for Al was also a VA for Hiro Sohma from Fruits Basket? And Hiro is a sheep? XD And in episode 16, Al had to sit in cargo with sheep? It just dawned on me.
