toriyama world just released another part of the FMA manga. 's supposed to be just an add-on, but it's what episode #13 was made from.

dunno if this link will work, but you could always get it from TW's mainpage, anyway

I'm making a new layout for my blog, and I wanna use images of FMA, particularly Ed and Roy (but not Roy/Ed doujinshi slash, just not my fandom >_<). Unfortunately, I really suck at finding images for layouts. Do you guys know of any places that have really good quality images, scans, caps, etc. for FMA? Or do you have any yourself? ^_^; I hope this isn't straying off-topic, but any help would be greatly appreciated!

Hey minna-san, another newbie here. I'm a big fan of FMA and this was the first place I stumbled on, so yeah, hi. I guess some fanart wouldn't hurt, even though I'm not that great. Tis behind the cut, cause it deserves to be! *cough* Comments are muchos appreciated.

Anyway, another thing - if anyone knows where I can find any good FMA screencaps for icons, do tell ^^

So, I was thinking about character names in FMA. Particularly Roy's.

Roy. Mustang.

I've wondered pretty much since the beginning whether Arakawa is familiar with the Anglo-American military usage of "mustang" to describe an officer who started out as regular enlisted and climbed the NCO ranks before accepting a commission. What with Roy's oft stated ambition to gain ever-higher rank, that made a lot of sense.

Then ep thirteen came around and I started wondering just how far up Roy's ambition extends. If, as I personally suspect, he's planning an organization-wide shake-up of the military and the State Alchemists, possibly even abolishing the institution of State Alchemists, then either he thinks the King will go along with this or else someone else has to become King.

Roy. Royal.

Now that would be going mustang with a vengance.
