...and thus we have proof that FMA does indeed rule all.

Hasn't it been top rated on Saturday since it started? :o
vicemagevicemage on January 30th, 2005 10:43 pm (UTC)
No, just top rated Anime. Most weeks it falls behind either Futurama, or both Futurama and Venture Bros. So this past Saturday, it smoked them all. ^_^

Venture Brothers needs to be higher =/

I fear it will never get the second season it deserves so much.

It's a crack series from the adult swim people. But better than their other crack. One episode make fun of the Fantastic Four. (This is the ep I've seen multiple times inadvertantly.) Professor "Incredible" is gathering some scientist types for some reason. We meet his wife who can make only her SKIN invisible (she's greatly ashamed of her condition, and she can't control it well when she gets emotional), and flame boy always feels the PAIN of burning, so he's locked up in a special bed thing to keep the flames out, and a sadly not too bright mentally handicapped cousin looks like a lumpy ugly freak but he's not too bright so it doesn't affect him much. Of course the family freaks are locked away. ANd professor/mister Incredible is an egotistic ass. And there was something about one of the Venture brothers going to blow up from somethin they were expose to. And stuff.

It's a silly show, but not as stupid as Sealab...

It's not from the AS people at all. It's from an entirely seperate studio, and has most of the crew that worked on 'The Tick' back in the day. I thought it was pretty obvious that AS just bought the rights to air it...nothing they do looks that high budget :P (Sealab, Aqua Teen, Tom Goes To The Mayor...yeah.)

Anyway, Venture Bros. is basically a nerdy comedy series with genius dialogue and a billion parodies and references (Even its opening is a parody of Johnny Quest.)

I <3 it much. It's the funniest thing on TV at this moment (Well, second funniest since there is always Family Guy, but that's been on repeats forever, and with season 4 going to the dumb censor hungry guys at Fox, I fear the worst for it.)

Ah, no wonder it was such a better quaulity than the [as] made stuff! Silly me for assuming things.

See, people should learn something new everyday...

w00t! Now I need a big foam finger that says "WE'RE #1!" (With a flamel on it also, of course. ~_^)

Nice to see the Venture Brothers at #3, too. If anyone hasn't seen it, check it out -- it comes on right before FMA and it is without a doubt *the* funniest American animation I have seen since The Simpsons. It's a parody of Jonny Quest and other early '70s boys' adventure shows, it encompasses megatons of pop culture references and -- well, if there's such a thing as an American Excel Saga, this is it.

I wouldn't worry about VB too much, usually it's sitting in the #2 spot, always behind Furutama and occasionally (at #3) behind FMA. Just like FMA it's never slid out of the top 3 since I've been watching the ratings, so it's probably in no danger. Which is good. It's a fun crack. ^_^

This is the first time that GitS has gotten in there, though, and the first time Futurama hasn't listed.

Better make it Riza, so that they don't fight over it. On second thought, Al. Nobody at HQ would attack Al.
