What kind of pattern did you use for that?
RayeRayepiyocola on January 7th, 2005 04:53 pm (UTC)
ah.....It was a Bruda pattern....there's a short coat with a hood and a long coat in the pattern.....I forget the number but I got it at Joanne Fabrics.....I left my pattern at home...T.T 6 hours away....

Well, there's a start. I just want to know where to find it. I'm a goober so I would wear Ed's coat around as a regular coat. Thanks!!

I got the pattern at Joanne Fabrics....it took a long time to find a pattern that would work....and I do wear this as a regular coat...I don't want to cosplay Ed.....I just wanted his coat ^__^* I cosplay Hinata mostly now....

Ooh... Out of curiousity, how did you do the Flamel on the back?
RayeRayepiyocola on January 7th, 2005 04:54 pm (UTC)
I printed it off the internt and cut it out of black felt and used some 'Ok to Wash' glue ^____^* I was going to sew it on but the glue was just so easy.....

Whoa, well made! Looks pretty close to the real thing to me. ^_^
Wish I could make cosplay stuff that good, my best effort as far as cosplay goes so far was an Asagi Rumina outfit, which is basically just a school uniform and a bandanna.
Then I rehashed the outfit to go as Shinji Ikari.
But hey, had fun wearing the outfits anyway, so that's not so bad. XD

I really wanna do an FMA character for my next cosplay though.

heehee This is oddly NOT for cosplay...I have no intention of ever cosplaying Edward....0.o I just want the coat hehheh ^.^* I usually like to buy things and fix them for cosplay, but I decided this coat needed to be perfect and no one has a red tench with a hood...Obviously my sewing class paid off since this is MUCH better than my Piyoko and Tsukasa outfits ^.^

Yay! :D Looks awesome ^^ How long did it take you, and what pattern did you use?
RayeRayepiyocola on January 7th, 2005 04:57 pm (UTC)
one whole day.....I used a Bruda pattern (forget the number) and once I figured out how to work the sewing machine (mine's busted) it was easy peasy! I'm a Fashion Major and I have had a class, but it was a 'Simple' pattern.
swirling_chaos on January 7th, 2005 07:20 pm (UTC)
That's pretty cool ^__^ *wishes she knew how to work a sewing machine and use patterns XD*

velvet...so hot..but OMG,it looks so real!!but,isnt it a bit too long.
RayeRayepiyocola on January 7th, 2005 05:00 pm (UTC)
um...yes....^.^* I made it in a bigger size so it would be bigger on me....I shortened EVERYTHING cause I'm kinda short to begin with and I STILL ended up hemming it all like two inches more...and its still too long....-.- rrrr

Velvet! I love velvet. It's so soft and pretty.

(However, it would not be the best thing to travel around in, especially if it's snowing or raining. ~_^)

Wow, you look really short in that cout :D
I'm not saying it to insult you, but you just look :D
