SPOILER!: Edward would be very mad to hear that he is just like Hohenheim when he was younger. Of course, he would prove it by getting angry, I think. XD

Mucho thankees for the post! **preens** Already made a new icon from one of the pics there (**points proudly at icon**)... Jeeze, what a chapter.

Now that the homunculi have the almighty maker of Philosopher Stones again, I'm hoping to see a Lust 2 and Greed 2 soon. <3

But most importantly...a little bit of Ling's past~...it was about time.

OMG, *dies*

Finally. I've been waiting for two months for more on Havoc, dangit!
I just don't know what to say. Great chapter, but it raises so many unanswered questions. ^^
Hohenheim is definitely evil though, as opposed to the anime. Yeesh. And I am about to KILL Envy in a horrible, horrible manner. Probably involving penguins and shoestrings. How on earth did he know to get there just before Breda, though?

*hugs Havoc to death*

Buh? They spelled 'Hohenheim' as 'Hohemheim' saying that it's spelled that way in the anime and in real-life? o_O Have they done their research?! XD

Give 'em a break. They're translating straight from the Japanese and doing it in their spare time, they're bound to make the occasional mistake. XD;

Man I don't know what to think about this chapter. Was anyone else confused during Pinako and Hohenheim's conversation about Trisha. It seemed hard to read to me.

Yeybosh's translations tend to be rather literal, so some of the stuff is rather hard to understand...

But that conversation between Pinako and Hohenheim went pretty much like this:

Hoho: You cleaned up and took care of that thing that was created out of Ed and Al's failed human transmutation, right?
Pinako: Yeah.
Hoho: Did it look like Trisha?
Pinako: I already said, it didn't even look human.
Hoho: No, I mean...the hair color, eye color, details like that. Did it seem anything like Trisha?
Pinako: Are you trying to say that the boys human transmutation didn't even bring a deformed mindless soulless version of their mother back, but instead brought something that doesn't have anything to do with their mother into the world?

Something like that. Hohenheim seems to curiously be concerned with what they brought back, and is hinting that it wasn't a monster demi-mom at all, but something else.

That's what I got from it at least.

That makes a lot more sense now, and explains Ed's horrified look.

Heh, I didn't get a feeling of concern from Hoho at all. He knew full well that Ed was awake and listening. That's the reason he said all that about Trisha and the failed HT, all for Ed's benefit. Not sure yet what his intentions are, though. Is he trying to get Ed to try again, or just trying to upset him? Manipulate him? What? What for? Argh! The twists! The possible twists!

Hohenheime is a terrific character. I'm glad in the manga he's not the 'good guy' he's in the anime. I mean, I really think he loved Trisha...and he likes his sons, but his objectives came first always...

About that conversation...I think he wanted to show Ed that his act was so futile that he needs to think better about what he did...not just burn his past as if nothing had happened. Actually, I loved all father and son interaction in this chapter. So much strong and dense than in the anime...

I think he was upset with Ed for burning down the house, and not just because he liked the house. I think he was upset that there wasn't a single trace left of the transmutation the brothers did ... in fact, I think that the remnants of that transmutation were the real reason Hohenhiem came back home at all.

mica_chanmica_chan on December 15th, 2004 07:50 am (UTC)
Yeah, yeah...that's a possibility...That's why he asked Pinako what she did with the creature?

Yeah...that's what I understood....(but their conversation was really confuse)

As always, I am impressed by Arakawa's wonderful twists and storytelling. There were some very interesting twists on this one...and I was so glad to see some more Havoc!

The nice thing about these chapters is that, so much info is packed into a single one that I feel satisfied after reading one. It's not to say that I wouldn't pay large sums of money to read the next chapter right now...it's just that Arakawa has a way of giving you a lot to think about over a month.

Sorry to wait time, but this has been bothinger me.

Is it just me or is that guy from the morgue really creepy? He reminds me of a closet murderer or something. We've had Barry the Chopper, and the Mad Bomber, and they're both big on murder and not quiet about it. But this guy sort of seems to have a more twisted view than: "I love killing" which is readily explainable by a simple psychology textbook.

I want to know what he was working on with Roy's casuality bodies...
