Wordy McWord!

Hmm... I'm kind of worried about the homonculi talking about making Roy open the Gate... that would involve getting one of this crew to die, wouldn't it?

Well, methods of opening the Gate are MUCH more different in this version so you never know.

Pinako v Hohenheim. The fight of the titans old peeps. *is shot*

(Animals hate Hohenheim? Hmm...)

Odd...regarding Havoc saying "I have to quit this adventure" or something and Yebyosh saying that its a term from an FF game, in katakana Havoc says 'Ritaiassu' the 'su' at the end is his accent I believe because in most chapters when he speaks he ends with 'ssu' in katakana. So instead of 'I have to quit this adventure' (or something ot the jist) it probably would be better to say 'I have to retire'? (in terms of quitting? bah. confusion of doom. Maybe he doesn't end up quitting the military. *shrugs*)

Anyhoo, its good to have Yebyosh do this. ^^;
*keels homework*
Saya Aenslandsaya_aensland on October 14th, 2004 10:54 pm (UTC)
Yush, "ssu" is his funkadelic shortening of "desu". So, "ritaiassu" = "ritaia desu" = "I'm retiring".
reversing the polarity of the neutron flow: hughes. fma [what a wonderful world]x meshinraisei on October 15th, 2004 12:00 am (UTC)
Oh now that is funkadelic o.o

I always thought it was because he had a cigarette in his mouth all the time that we saw the '-ssu's.

But that's what's so great about Havoc, and now that I think about it, Hughes, he's got a written accent xD;. (Regarding Hughes, instead of saying 'ore wa' he'd shorten it to 'orea' and whole bunch of other words he'd shorten)

I seriously don't want Havoc to retire but it seems like it is the case unless Roy and co. try and stop him.

How could Roy and co. "stop him"? The man can't walk. o_o He has no choice but to call it quits.

Well, like stop him as in Roy or Hawkeye going 'Havoc, you're not retiring' not *grabmotion*. I can't see Roy and co. letting Havoc go just like that.

*falls over*
And so begins the ugly wait until November =D.
Saya Aenslandsaya_aensland on October 16th, 2004 03:02 am (UTC)
I meant, even if they stopped Havoc from retiring, what could he do? He needs his legs in his everyday job. He can't be a special op hitman in a wheelchair, can he?

*goes imagination sequence on you*

o.o

*suddenly imagines Havoc rouling around on a wheelchair shooting down bad guys with his crazy sniper shooting skills*

...Maybe they just invent the wheelchair because of his disability...

I'm glad manga Roy turned out cool after all ^_^. And wow, the manga seems to be taking after the anime..
ジェニイ 「Jenny」kirchu on October 14th, 2004 08:28 pm (UTC)
That is why people who watches ani!FMA reads the manga since the anime is over. :D;
chrononuriko on October 14th, 2004 08:29 pm (UTC)
Actually, the anime took after the manga. It's not like Arakawa hasn't already drawn up to chapter 52879374 and shown the directors of the anime.

The anime just got to the Hohenheim scene before the manga.

So um... how exactly was it that Ross was left alive? I think I kinda missed something there...
reversing the polarity of the neutron flow: hughes. fma [what a wonderful world]x meshinraisei on October 14th, 2004 09:35 pm (UTC)
Ross was brought out of the country into Xerxes. (hence, the re-quoting of what Roy had said to Armstrong after Ross' "murder" about there being lots of women out in the East.) Its not exactly explained in full detail HOW but we do know that she was smuggled out of Amestris for lack of a better term.

Those last pages aren't part of the actual chapter, but are rather a little manga-ized preview of the new FMA PS2 game that Arakawa made and put in the back of the chapter 40 release.

Thanks to the picture in the very end with Hohenheim and Pinako, I am wondering 2 things.
1.) Does Pinako know something about Hohenheim that no one else does, like HE FREAKIN' OLD AND DOESN'T LOOK IT?
2.) Pinako looks like she was pretty tall, so HOW DID SHE GET SO DAMN SHORT!?
Shainasimply_shine on October 14th, 2004 09:38 pm (UTC)
She was on a stool! hahahah that's my theory. And Oh my gosh i'm just soooo happy that they are all alive! *weeps* hahahaha.

Am I the only one who is worried by Hohenheim??
リミックス・サクラ: Konoharemix_sakura on October 14th, 2004 09:43 pm (UTC)
wow, lots of shit happened! Havoc's not dead! Ross' not dead! Lust is dead! Hohenheim makes the obligatory emotional visit to his burned down house.

I'm not getting my homework done either XD
reversing the polarity of the neutron flow: hughes. fma [what a wonderful world]x meshinraisei on October 14th, 2004 10:53 pm (UTC)
Nor am I! (But I'm almost done...just too lazy to go near it to finish it off)
