ep. 50 analogies
My, hasn't it been a craptastic day.
Getting to the point, a while ago I was trying to describe to a friend of mine the absolute trauma I endured after episode 50. I attempted to make an analogy because I want to pimp the show to her once the DVDs come out and I didn't want to spoil her (too much). But I'm still LJ-cutting it just in case.

Harry Potter getting stabbed in the gut with his own wand by Draco Malfoy while Ron is being tortured in the corner and finding out that Draco is his long lost brother at the same time. This taking place in book 6, not 7.

Can anyone come up with something better?

Current Mood: ugh

Be sure to mention that it's at the end of book 6, and there's no mention about what happens in 7. THEN it'd be the equivalent. xD

I just remembered something even more appropriate- The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers. Novel version. In which Frodo is "dead" at the very end.

When I saw all of the posts saying "Ed not ded", I couldn't help but think of "Frodo Lives". LotR would be a very good analogy.

Bwahaha... icon brilliance. <3

Sorry I can't help with the rest. When I was helping to pass the ep around on Streamload I was tempted to type "spread the pain" into each of my emails. :P

The closest thing I have to this feeling was the day I saw the last episode of Forever Knight, then got online and discovered they had killed Richie on Highlander, my favorite character.

I've never seen six full grown adults look that stunned before.

*grimaces* I'm having an ongoing debate with my bf over it. He says Ed's dead, and I go "Nope"

*dusts off her Golden Straw of Denial* This Straw has it's origins from the Highlander fandom(Richie's not dead, damnit). It has gotten me through Richie, Wolfwood, Hughes, and I don't want to need it for Ed. But it will support me if it all goes to hell.

Everyone else got their Straws ready? Just in case.
