Ok, so I made some crackish photo manips for episode 3 last week, and got some fairly positive responses (including the invention of a new interest on lj...Mmmm, splitscreen) so I thought I'd try again (god knows we need a laugh after this episode, poor Nina ;_;)
First some Snark
Followed by pure insanity
Is this something people would like to see after every episode or is it old already? And should I be posting it elsewhere?

You are both brilliant...and kind of scary
Wow, I am impressed. O.O :PIt didn't occur to me until I was looking through screencaps for something lulzy because the watch one was still slightly sad and I needed pure crack. Then I wondered how to make Ed's arm even funnier and Tim Burton popped into my head and wouldn't go away.
...the arm is kind of disturbing, if you aren't distracted by the braid and ahoge (and Ed's facial expression XP)...o.O
Tim Burton GFO of my anime!

Re: You are both brilliant...and kind of scary
I fucking love your icon xD I was all "WTF?" when I saw that scene...I saw it and I was all "It looks like Jack Skellington" and for some reason, Vic's quote "Hey, Jermain Hackson called, he wants his hair back" came to mind and then they meshed together to create what you wrote xD You beat me to the punch!
Then I thought it looked like Barry the Chopper's skull head >>
EXACTLY

Re: You are both brilliant...and kind of scary
The icon is lulzy, darkblysse made that comment to my last round of photo manip crack and I couldn't not turn it into an icon ^^ The last episode drove me crazy. C.R.A.Z.Y! And the splitscreen made it worse. >.<Haha - that was funny. I only watched a few episodes of the old anime (and none of the dub) but I heard Vic was funny so I looked him up on youtube and spent about a day watching clips of his various antics at conventions. I wonder if there'd be a way to work the mini-skirt line into a photo manip for future eps. Haha, the mini-skirt line will haunt Vic until the end of his days :P
Barry!!&hearts&hearts I can't wait for his episodes!!! (not the one where he makes Al sad, because that's sad ;_; but the ones where he wants to cut up his own body LOL!!!)
I will henceforth do my utmost to make Tim Burton references for the rest of the series :P ....or until it drives me crazy :P (Barry the Chopper as the headless horseman y/y?)

Re: You are both brilliant...and kind of scary
I saw that post XDIT WILL. Sad thing about how he came up with that, too xD Just one day, a fan is all, "say something nice about Roy!" and then THAT has to come to Vic's mind.
aldbfaobfoausb NEITHER CAN I. BARRY! :D
(Fuck yes) And I shall try to help... if I can come up with them before you. I'm adding you, ktnxbai.

Also, I don't know if you saw it or not, but more mocking of the failure in ep 3 here: http://community.livejournal.com/fm_alc

Winry...Winry would totally have loved the Transformers movie! Except for the part where the transformers blow up "How could you destroy such craftsmanship!" :P
Al...would be a sucker for Pixar movies. And Monsters Inc would be his favourite. "Kitty" :P (Ed would be all like "the science makes no sense!" "It's just a movie brother, calm down")
Your thoughts?
April 28 2009, 21:55:53 UTC 3 years ago
Winry would like "Beauty and the Beast"
but onlysimply because she can relate. *hides from Ed* Let's have Winry watch "Love Actually." I can't think of a machine-heavy movie off the top of my head (not my genre.) ^^;Al: Olivier&co (the Disney cartoon). I can also see Al watching (again) "The Matrix" but in his case because it questions reality and I think Al has had the time and opportunity to practice that. Uhm, "Memories of a Geisha"? (-> Mei *if you squint and...*) "Deja-vu" because while it would weird Ed out...yeah, maybe as mental support for his brother. ^^ So, maybe also "The Knowing". Oh, and "Meet Dave".
April 28 2009, 23:47:52 UTC 3 years ago
I love "The Beauty and the Beast"!!! Not familiar with "Love Actually" but works for me. I can kind of also see Winry watching "The Terminator" with Ed - except he'd be all "explosions! badass!" and she'd be "now how do I build something like that" Um...
Book Winry would love and hate: "The Time Traveller's Wife"
Al: YES! kitties&hearts, I think Al would like most Disney/"kiddie" movies.
...also, I am a horrible person for thinking this, but he should totally watch "A.I. Artificial Intelligence"...because (Winry would watch it too, and drool over the robots :P)
I think all three of them could probably kick back and enjoy Jumanji (because that is an awesome movie) And Ed would secretly love "Brother Bear"...although, for all his bad taste and love of badass things, he is kind of a huge sap - remember the chapter where Winry delivers the baby. Ed and Al were complete goo. So maybe Ed would like most kiddie movies too... Oh, and both Elrics totally have to read "Watership Down"
...damn, I'm trying to think of movies with strong/central sibling interaction (Spy Kids?) especially brothers...er =.=;
Also, I want to strap all three of them down and make them watch "The Black Cauldron"...just to see their blood pressure skyrocket through the roof. :P
What are movies they would hate? I think Ed would probably be personally offended by "Finding Nemo" and "Bambi" (father-son bond). I don't think any of them (particularly the boys) could watch Brannagh's (I spelt his name wrong didn't I) "Frankenstein" - waaaay too close to home (the book would also be upsetting, but the movie makes it more about bringing the dead back than scientific arrogance). What are movies that feature raising the dead? They probably wouldn't enjoy war movies; and, of course, Ed wouldn't last 30 seconds watching anything remotely religious - *snicker* Ed, watching/reading Narnia...LOL (mind, the religious messages/imagery/allusions would probably go right over his head, so maybe it wouldn't be so bad).
April 29 2009, 08:39:40 UTC 3 years ago
Book Winry would love and hate: "The Time Traveller's Wife" Totally seconded!
Hmm, I don't know if Winry would enjoy Jumanji, but I can see them watching it.
And Ed would secretly love "Brother Bear" Lol!! *glomps both Ed & Koda* I'd love them watch The Lion King too (not that it would go over well with Ed or Al and Winry might get teary eyed -- so, yeah bad idea, but still it's the best TLK movie of its decade (and more) ergo they should watch it.)
Why Watershipdown? If we're going in that direction let them watch the series Animals of the Farthing Wood (because the animals stand up and walk forward XD )
Uhm, don't know 'The Black Cauldron' - what's it about (aside from the obvious)?
Yeah, no Frankenstein. No Dracula either, just don't think they'd like it.
With Narnia (at least the movie, you can pretend they're no religious background ideology, it's what I do and that way I love it) Al would love it the most:
Al: 'Brother can be keep Aslan?'
Ed: 'no way! Having one Lion King around is enough.'
